The Civil Engineering Consultant will oversee the planning, design review, and execution of the hospital construction project. The consultant will serve as a key technical advisor and liaison between design teams, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all engineering aspects of the hospital construction project.
• Coordinate and review architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical plans with architects, engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors to ensure compliance with healthcare design standards, functional requirements, and regulatory guidelines for seamless project execution.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant regulatory codes, hospital safety standards, and healthcare infrastructure guidelines.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources specific to engineering and construction deliverables.
• Identify potential engineering risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
• Provide expert advice on value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without compromising functionality or safety.
• Liaise with internal departments (clinical, biomedical, operations) to ensure engineering plans support hospital operations.
• Review technical reports, progress updates, invoices, and contractor submissions for engineering-related work.
• Recommend strategies for efficient commissioning and operational readiness of the facility.
• Participate in vendor and contractor evaluations and selection processes.
• Ensure timely resolution of site issues and provide hands-on guidance as needed and perform quality assurance checks during different stages of construction to ensure compliance with design and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale hospital or healthcare facility projects.
• In-depth knowledge of hospital engineering design standards and infrastructure compliance.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain focus on project goals.
