The Airports Security Force (ASF), under the Ministry of Aviation, is seeking qualified candidates for the permanent position of Assistant Director (BS-17) . This role is crucial for ensuring the security and safety of Pakistan’s airports, a vital aspect of the country’s aviation infrastructure.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates must possess at least a Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s/Bachelor’s (16 years) degree or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Physical Standards of FitnessApplicants must meet the following physical standards:
- Height :
- Male: Minimum 5′-6″ (168 cm)
- Female: Minimum 5′-2″ (157 cm)
- Weight :
- Male: Minimum 106 lbs (48.1 kg)
- Female: Minimum 99.2 lbs (45 kg)
- Chest Measurement (for males only):
- Unexpanded: Minimum 32″ (83 cm)
- Expanded: Minimum 34″ (88 cm)
The age requirement is 22-30 years, with a relaxation of five (5) years in the upper age limit, making the maximum age 35 years.
Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an Assistant Director, responsibilities include:
- Supervising security operations at airports to ensure safety.
- Implementing security policies and procedures according to standards.
- Coordinating with security agencies and airport management.
- Conducting inspections and audits for compliance.
- Managing and training security personnel.
Eligible candidates must undergo a medical examination arranged by ASF and the Ministry of Aviation to confirm physical fitness.

As a leading provider of services ranging from HEMS, Utility, Surveying, VIP and Corporate Charter operations, this position requires an individual with extensive experience of managing the performance of Safety Management Systems, Safety Assurance programmes and all safety and risk management functions.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Assess the level to which SMS provisions are effective and satisfy the companies strategic business requirements across P121 operations.
- Conduct periodic safety and quality audits in conjunction Quality team to ensure SMS requirements are being achieved.
- Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessment across all aspects of P121 activities and the wider business.
- Manage through to completion all safety and issue reports received under P121 operations.
- Lead investigation of accidents associated with P121 operations and document the outcomes within required reports and action plans.
- Coordinate occurrence and hazard investigations associated with P121 operations.
- Lead the development of Safety Cases for all P121 operations and identify priority areas for the development of risk controls.
- Assist in the maintenance and management of the companies Hazard/Risk Register.
- Monitor, assess, and assure the effectiveness of safety risk controls identified under P121 operations.
- Monitor corrective/preventative actions across the P121 organization and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Assist in the development, execution, and maintenance of vigorous and dynamic Safety Programs at all Bases/Deployments.
- Ensuring safety promotion throughout the P121 organization and wider business.
- Provide analysis and reporting of SMS performance within P121 operations.
- Participate in Management meetings at which the adequacy of the SMS is reviewed.
- Participate in Safety Meetings on a regular basis, provide minutes of meetings and record action outcomes for tracking.
- Assist other Safety Managers within the business in fulfilment of their responsibilities.
- Regularly report to the Director of Safety on the performance of the SMS within Part P121 and on any need for improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Certificate course in Safety Management System qualification, and Certificate course in Aviation Auditor qualification.
- Or equivalent experience as Safety Manager in an organization conducting similar operations.
- Certificate course in aircraft accident investigation qualification is an advantage
- Certificate course in Aviation Human Factors is an advantage
- 7 years of experience in the aviation field and 3 years in a management capacity.
- 3 years of proven experience in aviation safety field in similar operations to the company.
- Previous operating experience within the helicopter SAR/EMS field (preferred).
- High degree of knowledge within aviation risk-management principles, methods, and execution.
- Technical knowledge sufficient to demonstrate a solid understanding of SMS within the company’s field of operations.
- Familiar with GACARs and FAA/EASA regulations.
- Excellent report writing and document presentation skills.
