The Airports Security Force (ASF), under the Ministry of Aviation, is seeking qualified candidates for the permanent position of Assistant Director (BS-17) . This role is crucial for ensuring the security and safety of Pakistan’s airports, a vital aspect of the country’s aviation infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess at least a Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s/Bachelor’s (16 years) degree or an equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Physical Standards of Fitness

We have an exciting opportunity to share from our group company, Fly Jinnah - Pakistan's newest airline. We are currently seeking skilled A320 Type-rated Foreign/Expat pilots to join our Pilots team on a fixed-term contract.

Contract Specification : Only open for eligible foreign nationals.

Contract Duration:

15-months fixed period contract renewable on mutual agreement for further period.

Approx 3 months initial training followed by 12 months of flying duties.

To conduct assigned flights in accordance with the detailed provisions of the Airline Operational Manual and in compliance with the respective civil aviation authority related regulations.

He/she must ensure ultimate safety, security, and efficiency are achieved throughout all operated flights; supports and guides the flight/cabin crew, handle emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios effectively, and takes control over the flight to ensure successful performance and positive corporate image.

Ensures that assigned flights are conducted in accordance with the detailed provisions of the Airline’s Operations Manual and regulations. At all times, implements, monitors and maintains the procedures necessary to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the aircraft undertaken.

Takes necessary action and directs the crew on how to react in case of safety or security irregularities; decides on escalations if needed.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Appropriate ATPL License is a must.

He/she must pass the technical/psychometric assessment for Pilots as per the Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.

He/she must pass the Medical Fitness check-up carried for the Pilots as per the Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.

Training in safety and emergency response is essential – a formal qualification is an advantage.

Basic Airport, security procedures and regulations training is an advantage.

Crew Resources Management Training is considered an advantage.

IATA principles & standards relating to security is an advantage.

Work Experience

He/she must have completed a minimum of 4000 hours of flying an aircraft,

A minimum of 800 hours as PIC onAirbus 320 is required.

Possesses acceptable industry knowledge in aircraft systems and operating procedures.

Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to and affecting Flight Operations.

Capable of implementing policies, procedures, and manuals as per approved standards and regulations.

Cost-oriented, possesses effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly Salary During the Initial Training:

During the Training period (Until the Final Line Check) you will be paid AED 22,000 (Equivalent to US$6,000) (Net Salary) / per month (Pro-rated for the part of the month) plus Per diem.

Monthly Salary after Training / Final Line Check: (For Up to 60 Block hours in a month)

AED 33,800 (Equivalent to US$9,200) / per month (Net Salary) plus Per Diem

Flying pay above 60 block hours in a month:

Every block hour above 60 Block hours in a month will be paid @ AED. 475 (Equivalent to US 130)

AED 184 (Equivalent of US 50) per day (On an average of US 1,500 per month), will be paid towards food and other miscellaneous expenses.

Accommodation:

You will be provided with suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis at the base of operation and layover stations for the full duration of the contract. In addition, personal laundry at the Hotel – 4 pieces of clothes per day.

Transportation:

You will be provided with suitable ground transportation from Accommodation to and from Airports/Office for all rostered flight duties.

Travel:

The company shall arrange and pay for economy class tickets at the commencement and end of the contract along with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.

Unlimited standby tickets on Air Arabia group network during the contract period.

After completion of 6 months, you will be eligible for MYID travel benefits.

You will be provided with uniforms and laundry service for the duration of the contract.

Roster & Day off:

  • You are entitled to 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service (accruing at 2.5 days per month).
  • Paid vacation is granted following the successful completion of initial training and Line Flying release in the UAE, as well as upon the start of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.

To conduct assigned flights in accordance with the detailed provisions of the Airline Operational Manual and in compliance with the respective civil aviation authority related regulations.

He/she must ensure ultimate safety, security, and efficiency are achieved throughout all operated flights; supports and guides the flight/cabin crew, handle emergencies and ad-hoc scenarios effectively, and takes control over the flight to ensure successful performance and positive corporate image.

Consults with the Chief Pilot/Maintenance Control Centre/Operations Control Centre /Head of Flight Operations on any non-routine or critical action prior to executing; all duties shall be performed thru proper channel and in compliance with adopted policies and procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities

Flies the assigned aircraft from one destination to another in accordance with the given schedules and approved flight plans; carries his/her duties and acts as the ultimate responsible for the aircraft during the assigned flights.

Ensures that assigned flights are conducted in accordance with the detailed provisions of the Airline’s Operations Manual and regulations. At all times, implements, monitors and maintains the procedures necessary to ensure the safe and smooth operation of the aircraft undertaken.

Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness and legality of self and Flight Crew for the assigned flights. Conducts pre-flight briefing to ensure members are acknowledged with flight details; ensures briefing is properly done prior to each action as per adopted procedures.

Liaises with co-pilots (First Officer and Second Officer) and Dispatch Team prior to each flight ensuring flight/cabin crew members are well prepared and provided with required information, including aircraft technical status, route preferences, weather, fuel, weight, distribution of roles, etc.

Ensures, within safety constraints as detailed in the relevant sections of the Airline’s Operations Manual, that the aircraft is flown to make most efficient and effective use of fuel during the flight.

Ensures the required safety, security, fuel, and transit checks are carried for each flight by the Flight/Cabin assigned crew members before, during and after each flight. Takes necessary action and directs the crew on how to react in case of safety or security irregularities; decides on escalations if needed.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

Appropriate ATPL License is a must.

Must pass the technical/psychometric assessment for Pilots as per the Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.

Must pass the Medical Fitness check-up carried for the Pilots as per the Airline and respective civil aviation authority standards.

Training in safety and emergency response is essential – a formal qualification is an advantage.

Basic Airport, security procedures and regulations training is an advantage.

Crew Resources Management Training is considered an advantage.

IATA principles & standards relating to security is an advantage.

Work Experience

Minimum of 4000 hours of flying a type of aircraft.

Minimum of 800 hours as PIC on Airbus 320 is required.

Possesses acceptable industry knowledge in aircraft systems and operating procedures.

Exposure to QA/Safety/Security/Audit procedures and practices related to and affecting Flight Operations.

Capable of implementing policies, procedures, and manuals as per approved standards and regulations.

Cost-oriented, possesses effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

High accuracy and attention to both results and details.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly Salary During the Initial Training:

During the Training period (Until the Final Line Check) you will be paid AED 20,199 (Equivalent to US$5,500) (Net Salary) per month (Pro-rated for the part of the month) plus Per diem.

Monthly Salary after Training / Final Line Check:

AED 27,544 (Equivalent to US$,500) per month (Net Salary) plus Per Diem (For up to 60 Block hours in a month).

Flying pay above 60 block hours in a month:

Every block hour above 60 Block hours in a month will be paid @ AED 404 (Equivalent to US 110).

Per Diem:

AED 184 (Equivalent of US 50) per day (On an average of US 1,500 per month), paid towards food and other miscellaneous expenses.

Accommodation:

You will be provided with suitable hotel accommodation on a Bed & Breakfast basis at the base of operation and layover stations for the full duration of the contract. In addition, personal laundry at the Hotel – 4 pieces of clothes per day.

Transportation

You will be provided with suitable ground transportation from Accommodation to and from Airports/Office for all rostered flight duties.

Travel

The company shall arrange and pay for economy class tickets at the commencement and end of the contract along with up to 50 kilos of baggage allowance.

Unlimited standby tickets on Air Arabia group network during the contract period.

After completion of 6 months, you will be eligible for MYID travel benefits.

Uniforms / Laundry

You will be provided with uniforms and laundry service for the duration of the contract.

Roster & Day off

You are entitled to 30 calendar days of Annual Leave Vacation (ALV) per completed year of service (accruing at 2.5 days per month).

Paid vacation is granted following the successful completion of initial training and Line Flying release in the UAE, as well as upon the start of regular rostered flying duties in Pakistan.

Your paid vacation days will be combined with rostered OFF days each month, guaranteeing a minimum of seven consecutive free-of-duty days (Paid Vacation + OFF days) per month.
