ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:
- demonstrate safe handling and proper use of equipment/supplies
- conduct initial assessment for all out-patient after registration and thorough head-to-toe assessment on each assigned patient by utilizing functional health pattern and document findings in initial assessment form comprehensively (as per assigned area).
- perform vital and anthropometric assessments
- complete the rehabilitation assessment for all patients assigned in line with the standard procedures
- identify patients health teaching needs and incorporate these into rehabilitation care plan
- implement an individualized program of teaching with patients and family about the effects for delivering quality patient care and gain the confidence of patients and family
- provide high quality personalized planned holistic nursing care to all assigned patients
- monitor record and update patient’s vital/ daily exercise progress in patient’s medical record files
- make appropriate intervention for the delivery of safe care to all patients using knowledge of rehabilitation procedures and protocols
- compliance with the department policies and organizational quality standards i.e. ISO and JCIA
- coordinate a holistic approach to meeting patients medical, vocational, educational, and environmental needs
- act as a resource and a role model for nursing staff and students and participate in activities and professional organizations that promote the improvement of nursing care and the advancement of professional rehab nurse.
You should have:
- a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN), Post-RN BScN degree or Diploma in Nursing
- six months of work experience will be preferred while Diploma holders should have at least three years of experience
- valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
- certification in Basic Life Support, ACLS, PALS, NRP provider, Safe Medication Administration and Intravenous Cannulation
- ability to assess, plan and manage patient care with expertise as per protocols
- willingness to work with shifts
- excellent interpersonal skills, including communication skills.
