SCOPE:
Responsible to establish strategic & tactical Material Plans to meet the business & revenue goals of the corporation. Makes decisions on operational & materials matters that affect the supply chain, inventory and logistics.
JOB COMPLEXITY:
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
DISCRETION:
Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division or company operations.
INTERACTION:
Regularly interacts with executives and internal customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers/suppliers and management while attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
SUPERVISION:
Responsible for managing the Material Supply-Chain and Inventory Control programs for our Textile product family working with department managers within the Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance organizations. Job Specification
4+ years experience as a Supply Chain Manager within Operations. Responsible for managing all functions within the designated supply channel to include: Purchasing, Contract Manufacturing Management, Inventory Control, global multi-facility inventory and logistics. Experience in establishing and managing and optimizing inventory levels to meet corporate objectives, while maintaining customer satisfaction. Experience in leading programs; NPI, cost reduction, standard costs, inventory logistics/freight-forwarding. Experience in identifying and managing opportunities to reduce COGS. Experience working with complex products and multi-product environments in a Textile or Automobile Environment. Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
