Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Executive Supply Chain Management position located in Karachi. The role involves overseeing and managing the supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. The Executive Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining inventory accuracy. They will also analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the supply chain
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain good relationship with vendors through verbal and nonverbal communication.
· Introduce new vendors as per standards of company.
· Receive purchase requisitions on monthly basis as well as for urgent required items from store.
· Make Valuation report over MPR.
· Meet with suppliers for fruitful and cost-effective purchase including negotiation on price, credit time, volume metric discounts, special incentives and bonus services etc.
· Ensure compliance of all HSE, HACCP and ISO related guidelines related to his area of responsibility e.g. storage of different items, temperature monitoring & control of frozen foods, handling of allergens and chemicals.
· Responsible for physical visits to vendors as and when required for purchasing in the absence of designated purchase officer.
· Prepare & send request for quotation (RFQ) for various vendors (at least three vendors).
· Prepare comparison statement of different vendors when required.
· Update vendors detail in ERP system.
· Internal & External Complaint Close out.
· Make Audit visit plans according to category and schedule visit according to visit plans.
· Make Supplier audit reports on every visit of supplier and share with the HOD.
· Periodic supplier evaluation over cost, time, quality and payment terms.
· Trend analysis of complaints and rejection of purchases.
· Generate reports regarding payments and purchasing.
· Perform co-ordination with management by making daily reports.
· Ensure Compliance of all HSE, HACCAP, ISO 22000/9001/14000 & 45001 related guidelines related to his area of responsibility.
Skills
· Proven experience in supply chain management or related field
· Strong knowledge of Grocery procurement, inventory management, and logistics
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
· Proficient in using supply chain management software
· Effective communication and leadership abilities
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
