Team Description:
The Finance team oversees accounting, reporting, compliance, and financial operations across all Wego entities. The team ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with local and international regulations, and effective management of resources to support Wego’s strategic and operational objectives.
The Role:
The Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of the finance function for Wego’s operations in Pakistan. This includes ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, management and statutory reporting, audit, tax, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
What you will be working on:
- Handle the general ledger function and manage full-set financial accounting
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare financial statements for management and statutory reporting
- Prepare VAT filing reports and ensure compliance with local VAT and corporate tax requirements
- Oversee audit coordination and monitor compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance finance processes for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Collaborate with HQ to manage working capital needs and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Stay updated on FRS requirements and ensure timely implementation and compliance
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage end-to-end finance operations in Pakistan

- Deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis for management and audit purposes
- Lead continuous improvement of financial processes and systems

Skills and experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance and accounting roles in a similar capacity, preferably within the online travel industry, including audit experience
- Strong understanding of financial standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, multi-national environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems

The project will focus on restoring partially damaged schools, providing accelerated learning and remedial education, and supporting children, especially girls and adolescents, with psychosocial care, life skills, and essential learning materials. Interventions will also include provision of WASH, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), and health kits, along with community-based climate change resilience actions. By combining relief, recovery, and resilience, ITA seeks to ensure that children and communities, especially girls emerge stronger from this climate-induced crisis.
This initiative aims to:
- Rebuild safe and functional learning spaces for children and youth.
