Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join our remote team in Pakistan. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and data architecture, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve real-world business problems (recommendation systems, forecasting, classification, etc.)

The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with strong Data Engineering capabilities to play a critical role in building scalable unsupervised predictive anomaly detection systems for large-scale application logs and telemetry data . This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning solutions to detect operational anomalies in real time, enabling proactive issue resolution across our infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement unsupervised learning models to detect anomalies in structured and unstructured application logs.
• Develop robust pipelines for log ingestion, processing, and feature extraction using big data tools and cloud-native technologies.
• Work closely with DevOps, SREs, and software engineers to understand application behavior and logging patterns.
• Analyze and interpret the output of models to provide actionable insights and improve system observability.
• Optimize model performance and implement feedback loops for continuous learning and improvement.
• Build data engineering infrastructure (ETL/ELT pipelines) to support high-throughput data processing and model training.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development of dashboards and alerting systems to surface anomalies to stakeholders.

Bonus Skills :

• Experience with time-series analysis and metrics-based anomaly detection.
• Knowledge of observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Exposure to LLMs or NLP techniques for unstructured log processing is a plus

Requirements :

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Science with hands-on expertise in building anomaly detection models.
• Solid foundation in unsupervised machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, autoencoders, Isolation Forests, PCA, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in Python and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, pandas, and NumPy.
• Experience working with log data (e.g., from Elastic Stack, Fluentd, Loki, or Splunk).
• Strong data engineering skills: SQL, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with version control, CI/CD, and MLOps workflows.
