Work closely with Quality, Production, Shipping/Receiving, Customer Service, Production Planning Manager, and National Supply Chain Manager in support of achieving corporate and site objectives.
Procedure and Process Development/Implementation: Proactive in identifying, developing and implementing necessary procedures to ensure that fleet and carrier activities are properly performed. Ensures carrier level of service requirements are met.
Procurement: Developing and operating a procurement function that is capable of providing best expertise and cost effective purchasing services. Exploring new suppliers to assure the highest quality, lowest prices and best availability of the products and services. Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on specification and requirement of the company.
Warehousing: Responsible to maintain and efficiently oversee the warehousing facilities with respect to storage of all shipments and company assets. Arrange and conduct training sessions for warehouse staff for improvement of their performance.
Safety and Accident Prevention: Established and maintained a safe and healthy work environment in the yard. Provides a high level of safety awareness among the team members by continuous communication, education, and positive reinforcement of safe work practices. Ensures work areas are hazard-free, clean and orderly at all times.
Facility Management: Facilitate the finance department in preparing annual budget, material consumption reports, and for calculation of average cost prices of finished goods at various stages.
