Qualification / Requirements:- S (Radiology) or higher relevant education.
- Preference will be given to candidates having at least 2 years’ relevant experience in a reputable hospital.
Job Overview:
- Promote teamwork within the console by serving as a Team Leader, aiding fellow technologists, and instructing interns.
- Analyze requests or instructions from Physicians to identify the specific imaging requirements for each patient’s modality.
- Ensure radiation safety of patient and staff by minimizing radiation exposure while not compromising on image quality.
- Carry out scanning procedures beginning with patient consent and selection, followed by patient and machine preparation, accurate patient positioning, capturing images according to established protocols, and maintaining records.
- Evaluate patients’ suitability for oral and IV contrast and managing various contrast-induced reactions.
- Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer-generated methods.
- Complete quality control activities, monitor the equipment operations & report malfunctioning of equipment to manager/supervisor.
- Perform general administrative tasks at the console, including answering phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, and organizing the retrieval and filing of films.
- Ensure proper waste management practices.
- To be a part of and conduct the internal trainings.
- Taking responsible measures to safeguard the radiation badge and prevent intentional exposure.
- Perform any other task assigned by HoD.
