Job Summary:

The Electrical Motor Winder is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, rewinding, reassembly, and testing of electric motors, generators, transformers, and related components. This position requires a deep understanding of AC/DC motors and the use of winding and testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disassemble and inspect electric motors, stators, armatures, and coils.
• Diagnose faults in motors and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Remove damaged windings and clean components using hand tools or machines.
• Rewind coils using manual or automatic coil winding machines.
• Soak windings with insulating varnish and cure them in ovens.
• Assemble motors and test them to ensure they meet operational standards.
• Maintain records of work performed and components used.
• Operate equipment such as surge testers, multimeters, megohmmeters, and growlers.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics for winding configurations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or technical school certificate in electrical or mechanical technology.
• Proven experience (2+ years preferred) as a motor winder or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, stators, rotors, and transformer components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and diagrams.
