Role Description:

• Supporting all units regarding the project's IT aspects. He will coordinate the provision of technical specifications for servers and other IT-related infrastructure; develop operational procedures and controls to ensure the correct establishment/monitoring of the datacenter and network, both in the field and within the LESCO system.

• The receipt of metering data on HES, processing of data, management of HES, MDMS, billing system, issuance of bills, and various reports.

• Seek guidance from DG (IT) pertaining to IT issues.

• Develop and implement the IT roadmap for the data center.

• Lead the installation, configuration, and testing of servers, storage, and networking equipment.

• Optimize power and cooling requirements for efficient operations

• Manage relationships with hardware/software vendors and service providers.

• Oversee contract negotiations and ensure SLA compliance.

• Implement cyber security protocols to safeguard data and systems.

• Conduct regular audits to maintain security integrity.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).

• Lead and mentor the IT team involved in the data center setup.

• Develop and implement digital platforms such as self-service portals, digital dashboards, and customer engagement tools.

• Drive the automation of manual processes across the organization to minimize manual intervention and reduce turnaround time.

• Ensure data transparency by implementing best practices for data governance and integrity.

• Ensure application performance, security, and availability by implementing industry best practices.

• Implement IT security measures, ensuring the protection of digital assets and infrastructure.

• Conduct IS audit completion processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across the organization.

• Lead infrastructure revamping projects to enhance datacenter performance and scalability.

• Ensure the procurement and implementation of IT hardware and services, optimizing cost-effectiveness and performance.

• Develop IT policies and procedural documentation to standardize IT operations and governance.

• Provide strategic direction and mentorship to IT teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from HEC recognized institute.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in IT management, with 5+ years in data center operations.

• Technical Expertise should include:

o Networking & Security (Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)

o Storage Solutions (SAN, NAS, Backup strategies)

o Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning

o Data automation and transparency initiatives.

o IT security implementation and IS audit completion.

o IT policies and procedure development and implementation.

o IT hardware procurement and infrastructure revamping.

• Project Management Professional PMP certified is a plus

• Strong knowledge of industry best practices in IT governance, security, and compliance.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

• Hands-on experience with IT service management, cloud technologies, and emerging IT trends.
