We're looking for a QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience, especially in healthcare billing and RCM systems, who is passionate about product quality, user experience, and improving software processes through meticulous testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and workflows.
- Perform manual and automated testing for web-based healthcare billing applications.
- Validate healthcare billing workflows including claims submission, ERA processing, eligibility checks, and patient statements.
- Perform API testing using tools Postman.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using project management tools
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
- Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive UI testing.
- Collaborate in client meetings to understand workflows and replicate real-world scenarios for testing.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA compliance and healthcare data privacy standards during testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in QA/testing roles for web applications.
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing systems and terminology (claims, remits, CPT/ICD codes, insurance validation, etc.).
- Experience with manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
- Proficiency in API testing (REST/JSON), understanding request/response formats, and validating backend logic.
- Familiarity with databases, especially MySQL, and ability to write queries for data validation.
- Good grasp of SDLC/STLC, QA methodologies, and test documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Prior experience interacting with clients for requirement clarification and issue resolution.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of Postman scripting and test collections.
- Exposure to EHR systems such as ECW or AdvancedMD.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations, data security, and compliance testing.
- Experience with performance testing or security testing tools is a plus.
