Production Planning:
Responsible for all aspects of production and material planning, purchasing, and detailed scheduling of all materials, including production planning of order management from identification of demand timing through shipment and returns. Responsible for planning and master scheduling of all materials, shop floor data collection, material movement, work order closure and raw material consumption, inventory analysis, cycle counting, inventory accuracy, management of service contractors, negotiation of raw materials, supplies, utilities, and services to reduce costs, supplier audits, inventory management, and analytical work to provide accurate forecasts of produced finished goods, raw materials, and WIP. Responsible to prepare day-by-day production plan with the co-ordination of marketing and production department to ensure the availability of materials and timely shipment of finished goods.
Inventory Control:
Responsible to manage the inventory level for all kinds of chemicals, packing, general and raw materials on a weekly and monthly basis using Oracle 9i SOFTWARE. Execute the required management information systems (using Oracle) to keep inventory losses/differences below goal levels. Ensure timely reconciliation of inventory records. Carrying out random checks/audit. Manage logistics and supply chain budgets, minimize inventory, reduce lead times, and cost reduction for raw materials and services consumed in the production of preparing materials. Manage the SI & OP process to drive continuous improvement in on time/on quantity delivery performance. Utilize lean tools and improved planning processes to reduce inventory in a growing business.
Daily Operational Management:
Responsible for the effective operation of the Logistics area, as well as working with Store and Marketing organizations to ensure the smooth flow of goods to and from the warehouse. Work closely with Quality, Production, Shipping/Receiving, Customer Service, Production Planning Manager, and National Supply Chain Manager in support of achieving corporate and site objectives.
Procedure and Process Development/Implementation:
Proactive in identifying, developing and implementing necessary procedures to ensure that fleet and carrier activities are properly performed. Ensures carrier level of service requirements are met.
Procurement:
Developing and operating a procurement function that is capable of providing best expertise and cost effective purchasing services. Exploring new suppliers to assure the highest quality, lowest prices and best availability of the products and services. Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on specification and requirement of the company.
Warehousing:
Responsible to maintain and efficiently oversee the warehousing facilities with respect to storage of all shipments and company assets. Ensure that warehouse is provided with all necessary equipment and an adequate number of trained staff and other resources. Arrange and conduct training sessions for warehouse staff for improvement of their performance.
Safety and Accident Prevention:
Established and maintained a safe and healthy work environment in the yard. Provides a high level of safety awareness among the team members by continuous communication, education, and positive reinforcement of safe work practices. Ensures work areas are hazard-free, clean and orderly at all times.
Facility Management:
Facilitate the finance department in preparing annual budget, material consumption reports, and for calculation of average cost prices of finished goods at various stages. Manage the planners, purchasing and inventory analysts’ personnel. Responsible for training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
ISO 9000 Quality Management System:
Responsible to implement the ISO 9000 quality management system and Statistical Techniques.
