About the Role

Qualifications & Skills

Position Summary:
This person will advise on a broad range of global employment law and employee relations matters across the Oaktree group. This role will cover Oaktree's offices in Hyderabad, GIFT City and Mumbai. This person will also be expected to work on US, EMEA and APAC employment law matters.

Role:
The Vice President – Software Services is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for strategic direction, operational excellence, and growth of the software delivery organization. This role focuses on scaling digital delivery operations, ensuring customer success, driving innovation, and maintaining profitability across service lines. The VP partners closely with executive peers, delivery heads, and sales leaders to align technical execution with business objectives, while fostering a culture of accountability, agility, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a core member of the executive team, translating organizational vision and goals into actionable delivery and operational strategies
- Drive strategic initiatives across software delivery, focused on innovation and service expansion
- Oversee service delivery performance, ensuring quality, scalability, and customer satisfaction
- Implement, monitor, and continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, predictability, and cross-departmental collaboration
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Directors and delivery heads to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of software services
- Oversee biannual code audits, quality assessments, and performance appraisals to strengthen technical delivery standards
- Ensure end-to-end implementation of company-wide processes and frameworks that support operational and delivery excellence
- Take final decisions on performance appraisals, promotions, and workforce planning within the delivery organization
- Collaborate with executive peers to align delivery execution with business development, customer success, and product strategy
- Lead firm-wide communication initiatives within the Software Services organization to drive engagement, morale, and alignment with company values
- Represent the organization externally with professionalism, projecting a positive image to customers, partners, and the broader industry
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in software services, with at least 10 years in delivery or operations leadership
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar programs and scaling digital delivery functions in a global environment
- Strong understanding of agile delivery frameworks, cloud-native architectures, modern engineering practices, and digital transformation models
- Experience managing globally distributed teams and fostering collaboration across diverse cultural and geographic contexts
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at the executive level
- Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to align delivery and operational strategies with sales and profitability goals
