The business development manager would be responsible for researching and selecting vendors for our e-commerce platforms.
- Research and develop new vendors and maintain sustainable partnerships with existing vendors.
- Negotiate with vendors for purchasing at optimal prices.
- Efficient and timely reporting of all the activities.
- Ensure service and delivery of vendors is optimised and most effective.
- Review brand/supplier performance and profitability.
- Regular market visits for price monitoring.
- Create and maintain a vendor database on excel allowing easy filtering and selection of appropriate vendors.
- Have knowledge on contracts and creating of the like, along with trackable sales report development.
- To ensure proper co-ordination between buying department and customer service team.
- Identifying and observing competitor activities, promotions and any new articles introduced.
- Local market knowledge.
- Vendor selection and evaluation.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal, portraying company image.
- Fluency in English speaking is an added bonus.
- Result oriented.
- Attaining knowledge in given purchase fields.
- Should reflect professionalism, positive and motivated attitude.
- Flexible in travelling.
