Therefore, this position requires understanding or willingness to learn automated testing of websites, including high-performance HTML validators, link checkers, spell checkers, automatic detection of missing elements, analysis of missing keywords, etc. This needs to be done in near real-time, so performance optimization is part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement tools for automatic link checking, HTML validation, etc. (e.g., linkchecker, tidy) in Linux command line
• Execute tests, collect, and analyze data and results (Elasticsearch, Apache logs, Matomo, Google Analytics)
• Design and perform A/B testing of new concepts
• Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
• Ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization
• Research and implement SEO recommendations
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into new code
• Work with editorial teams to incorporate SEO into content creation and programming
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO rankings for target keywords
• Design and assist developers in implementing automated testing for elements like schema.org to enhance SEO

Requirements

• Experience with tools for automated HTML validation (e.g., linkchecker, wget2, tidy, w3c-linkcheck, etc.)
