What You’ll Lead and DeliverThe Solution Engineer will support the architecture and development of Industry 4.0 solutions, leading our customers through digital transformation in industrial analytics, operations, and security. Key responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, designing innovative technical solutions, and preparing and presenting proposals.
- Coordinate with Solution Consultants, Account Managers, and Sales Teams to ensure timely and quality solution proposals and support bidding processes.
- Assist in developing solution presentations and participate in site surveys and requirement workshops as needed.
- Respond to proposal requests and support bid preparations, ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements related to Analytics, Digital Operations, and Cybersecurity.
- Review, evaluate, and summarize complex software project terms, liaising with subject matter experts.
- Coordinate with internal product specialists to prepare demonstrations and proofs of concept to support pre-sales activities.
- Lead initiatives to standardize techniques, methods, and tools to improve efficiency and support knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with technology partners for solution development and identify new potential partners.
- Contribute to solution architecture and business development functions, supporting marketing collateral development.
- Design solutions based on customer scope and assist in packaging solutions.
- Develop technical designs and support the sales and BD teams with proposal documentation.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
Technical Skills
- Engineering/Software degree with 3+ years of experience in Industrial Automation and Digitalization in industries like manufacturing, petrochemicals, oil & energy, or utilities.
- Basic knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.
- Experience in Industrial IoT solutions design, application development, and deployment is preferred.
- Understanding of Data Management, Digital Operations, and Cybersecurity product portfolios.
- Basic knowledge of Automation and Control Systems such as MES, Historians, Reporting Tools, and Alarm Management Systems.
- Familiarity with OT-IT integration technologies like OPC, MQTT, REST APIs, and Web Services.
- Experience with industrial analysis and historian software (e.g., OSIsoft, Aspen InfoPlus, FactoryTalk) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data integration techniques and the PURDUE Model layers.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles in networking.
- Basic experience with databases like SQL/MySQL.
