Warehouse Team Leader 3rd Shift
Hours: 8pm – 430am(Overtime may be required)
Position Description:
Under the direction and supervision of LCD upper management, Team Leader is responsible for performing all general warehouse functions including housekeeping, preparing and checking shipments, unloading & loading, and counting inventory and oversees operation by assisting supervisors and managers. Driving a forklift and operating other warehouse equipment's to stack and move products are required.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
•Oversees and assists in loading, unloading, picking, staging, stacking, and moving of product.
•Ensures daily operations are performed timely and accurately.
•Assists in reviewing daily workloads and redistributing assignments to meet required deadlines.
•Assists management with inventory control and training warehouse employees.
•Interacts with vendors and customers and other employees to ensure customer satisfaction and effective and timely problem resolution.
•Manually and mechanically loading and unloading of trucks, containers and freight. Receiving and labeling freight after unloading, organizing warehouse, assisting in daily warehouse operations, including the labeling of freight and executing and filing of paperwork.
•Ensure a 100% level of compliance with any related government agencies such as local, US domestic and applicable foreign agencies
•Comply with customer requirements and procedures, periodic inventories, and offsite operations as well as monitoring and comply with Nissin, US Customs, HAZMAT, OSHA, CTPAT and TSA rules and regulations.
•Receive freight – Documentation, Log freight and Freight Placement (freight is labeled and moved to appropriate area)
•Unload, label, and prepare manifest for containers and/or any manifest required shipments
•Eliminate product overflow by putting freight away by using WMS and/or warehouse system.
•Notify supervisors of any damage, irregularities and any safety concern and safety violations at warehouse immediately.
•Checks product picked for shipment, verifies models and quantities against packing slip, and brings discrepancies to the management’s attention.
•Must keep accurate notes per shipment. Must review and update notes accordingly.
•Provide excellent and timely customer service skills and shipment follow up by pro-actively informing the customers of the status of their shipments, answering questions to the best of your ability and referring clients to the supervisor when questions are more technical.
•Advise supervisor of any delays, problems and/or questioned any irregularities discovered within assigned transactions.
•Performs and instructs general housekeeping duties including sweeping, breaking down cartons, and throwing out trash.
•Drives forklifts and prepares all necessary documents.
•Inspect forklift and other equipment's and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
•Operates equipment associated with WMS System - RF units, printers, inquiry screens, etc.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years plus related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
•Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted.
•Ability to understand and implement verbal and written instructions.
•Ability to communicate and work effectively with other people.
•Knowledge of any applicable regulations and rules.
•Skill in operating equipment such as forklift, vans and truck and other necessary equipment and applications.
•Ability to read, writes legibly, count accurately, and perform math calculations.
•Ability to understand what customers and other employees expect and need and make suggestions for them to improve their business.
•Ability to identify any problems, specifically safety and security concerns and problems and consult with upper management immediately, and to make suggestions and cooperate to resolve the problem immediately and effectively and safely.
•Ability to work in the warehouse environment which may be subject to noise, heat, cold, chemical smells, dust, and other conditions.
