About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Expert with strong technical skills in application security, TLS/SSL, CDN/WAF configuration, and bot mitigation.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Python tooling, Akamai/CDNs, and defending against scraping and automated abuse. You will work closely with engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, perform in-depth analysis, and recommend robust security measures.
Key Responsibilities
Write tools and scripts in Python for reconnaissance, scraping analysis, automation, and exploit proof-of-concepts.
Analyze and explain Akamai/CDN cookie/session handling, WAF rules, and provide recommendations for robust configuration and tuning.
Review and assess TLS/HTTPS configurations, certificates, cipher suites, and identify misconfigurations and vulnerabilities.
Conduct assessments to detect and defend against web scraping, bots, and automated abuse.
Produce clear, prioritized reports with reproducible findings, impact assessments, and actionable remediation steps.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement fixes and improve overall system security posture.
Translate complex security findings into business-impact statements and remediation plans that are easy for stakeholders to understand.
Required Qualifications
Strong, practical experience in Python scripting and automation for security use cases.
Deep understanding of TLS/SSL mechanics, including certificate chains, cipher suites, and protocol vulnerabilities.
Hands-on experience with Akamai or similar CDN/WAF technologies (Cloudflare, AWS WAF, etc.).
Proven track record in bot mitigation, anti-scraping techniques, and web abuse prevention.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security issues clearly.
