Vertex IT Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Lead to join its team at the Lahore office (Gulberg 2). As a QA Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and delivery of software testing, guiding the team through both manual and automation testing practices. You will work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that every product release meets the highest quality standards.

This is an onsite position with evening/night shift hours, suitable for professionals accustomed to international client timelines.


Key Responsibilities:



Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, managing day-to-day QA operations and task assignments.


Develop and implement QA strategies, plans, and processes for manual and automated testing.


Coordinate with development teams to ensure proper understanding of project requirements.


Create, review, and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts.


Execute test cases and track bugs using test management tools.


Ensure product quality through performance testing, regression testing, and integration testing.


Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and product demos.


Maintain QA documentation and ensure alignment with best practices and standards.


Provide timely feedback and detailed QA reports to the development and project teams.




Required Skills and Qualifications:



Strong leadership and team management skills in a QA environment.


Hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing tools and techniques.


Familiarity with automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.


Proficient in writing and maintaining test scripts and cases.


Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.


Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

6:00 PM – 3:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time (Monday to Friday)

• Plan releases and schedule development. Provide estimates and initial assessment for proposed development tasks and features. Track and report progress of the project against key milestones. Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of feature commitments.

• 6+ years managing software development teams/Quality assurance team comprised of 5 or more engineers.
• Well-versed and experienced in agile development methodologies.
• Ability to quickly learn both technical and functional knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. Able to present ideas and plans clearly to both technical and functional audiences.
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

- Generate documentation for internal and external projects with a high level of quality (requirements, design, test, and user manuals).

- Actively follow and report on the test plan to the Team Lead.

- Train the team to create and perform automated test cases.

- Proactively track flows in the system (internal and external) and get the identified issues/flaws rectified.

- Develop and document processes.

- Ensure that the processes formulated are being followed.

- Ensure that the delivered product meets the business goals and performance parameters.

- Actively pursue making the company procedures and policies aligned and compliant with ISO and CMMI standards.

- Ensure that every build is bug-free (or that bugs are reported and deployment is approved by management) and that the code versioning process is being followed properly.

- Identify and train all team members to use internet-based communication tools.

- Actively pursue company goals and objectives.

- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires extensive use of a computer. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to the needs of the systems being supported.

- The resource should expect to require traveling abroad on assigned projects.

- Firm knowledge of SDLC.

- Firm knowledge and practical experience of different quality assurance methods.

- Must know about CMMI standards.

- Must know about ISO standards.

- Must have practical experience using different testing tools.

- Able to develop and maintain automated test cases.

- Must know about UML.
