We are hiring a QA Officer to join our Quality Assurance team at Pharmnova’s manufacturing facility in Landhi, Karachi . This role is critical in ensuring that all manufacturing processes, especially during capsule production, meet defined quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. The incumbent will monitor, verify, and document critical process parameters to ensure product quality, integrity, and compliance throughout production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control all critical process parameters during capsule manufacturing, including capsule dimensions, weight variation, capsule shade consistency, and identification of visual defects as per approved quality standards.
- Conduct in-process checks during gelatin melting and colored gelatin preparation by ensuring precise control of viscosity, temperature, pH, and conductivity to maintain consistent product quality.
- Operate and maintain precision measuring instruments such as pH meter, conductivity meter, viscometer, thickness gauge, vernier caliper, moisture analyzer, and analytical balance for real-time quality monitoring and documentation.
- Ensure timely identification, documentation, and reporting of any product defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain records and documentation in compliance with cGMP, GDP , and Data Integrity standards.
- Coordinate with production and QA teams to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) where required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Pharm D or M.Sc. in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Capsule / Pharmaceutical / Nutraceutical / Food Industry , preferably in In-Process Quality Assurance.
- Hands-on experience with analytical and measurement tools.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) .
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and communicate process abnormalities.

Job Purpose:Supervise and monitor all types of Electrical & Telecommunication works activities.
Implement Project Quality Management System (QMS), conduct Quality Inspection, and coordinate quality-related activities with Clients, Contractors, and Vendors.
Key Accountabilities:- Maintain system manuals, international & national standards, client specifications, technical data sheets, handbooks, product catalogs, ITP copies, and all relevant inspection documents.
- Responsible for all electrical works including grounding, HV, MV, LV cables pulling, dressing, laying, termination, conduits, cable trays, switches, data & communication systems, public address, trunk cables, electrical wiring, panels, switchboards, CCTV, patch panels, fiber optic cables, duct banks, wireless systems, telecommunication cabinets, MDF, BTS, PABX, VMS, ACS, fire alarm, fire evacuation, testing, and pre-commissioning system inspections.
- Ensure received Inspection Requests for Inspection (RFI) from contractors comply with the Inspection Test Plan and standards before approval. Conduct inspections as per client specifications, standards, and methods.
- Verify vendor certifications, approvals, and profiles, including external and third-party agencies.
- Maintain quality records such as work logs, weekly QA/QC reports, internal inspection reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
- Verify test results, report findings, and recommend actions to QA/QC Manager.
- Ensure received Material Inspection Requests (MIR) from contractors meet project and client requirements prior to approval.
- Ensure contractors use properly calibrated equipment and store materials appropriately with proper identification and traceability.
- Verify conduit routing as per drawings through duct banks or trenches and indoor cable routing.
- Ensure NCRs are closed by contractors on time.
- Review specifications, project activity codes, and standards such as SAES-T, ITP UL, NEC, NFPA, TIA/EIA, IEC, and IEEE.
- Witness various inspections including telecommunication installations, CCTV, public address, fire alarm, fire evacuation, lighting, power, and cable routing for first, second, and third fixes.
- Witness installation of UTP modular patch panels, cable trays, grounding, and earthing systems.
- Witness testing, commissioning, and pre-commissioning inspections for systems like telephone, data, CCTV, PABX, ACS, fire alarm, and fire evacuation.
- Ensure all RFIs are conducted as per project specifications and standards.
- Monitor ongoing inspection and testing activities through project quality/construction representatives.
- Ensure compliance with PQP, ITP, checklists, MOS, PTS, standards, and codes at all project stages.
- Minimum Qualification: BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years in electrical/infrastructure construction projects.
- Experience in electrical substations, power plants, OHTL, high voltage, extra high voltage, 132kV or 320kV projects, especially in QC roles.
- Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, NEC, IEEE, NFPA.
