Role Overview:

As our Project Planning & Costing Engineer, you'll own the project controls lifecycle- crafting detailed schedules, building cost models, and tracking performance to keep EPCC projects on time and under budget. You'll partner with engineering, procurement, site teams, and leadership to ensure milestones, billing, and resource plans align seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:


• Develop & maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 / MS Project across engineering, procurement, fabrication & commissioning phases.


• Prepare bottom-up cost estimates, unit-rate analyses, BOQs, and indirect cost allocations.


• Track progress vs. baselines—analyze CV/SV variances, forecast projections, and recommend corrective actions.


• Produce weekly/monthly EVM, cash-flow forecasts, and cost-performance reports for stakeholders.


• Assess change requests for schedule and budget impacts; update control documents accordingly.


• Collaborate cross-functionally to validate scope, milestone billing, and revenue recognition.

What You Bring:


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering


• 5+ years' EPCC project planning & cost control experience


• PMP or equivalent certification preferred


• Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project


• Expert-level MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, VBA)


• Familiarity with ERP project modules (SAP PS, Oracle Projects)


• Strong analytical mindset, risk-assessment capabilities, and communication skills

  • Review project technical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and costing sheets provided by the Estimation and Sales teams.
  • Conduct detailed handover meetings with Estimation and Sales teams to ensure clear understanding of project scope and cost structure.

  • Support clients during installation and commissioning, addressing any related issues or after-sales service requirements.
  • Follow up with clients for payments and ensure timely collection of receivables.
  • Lead the project team to meet defined milestones and ensure successful execution.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop resource allocation plans and track utilization to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in project planning and execution, preferably in the switchgear or electrical equipment industry.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Team player with strong coordination skills across departments.
