Job Description

The Department of Oncology offers comprehensive cancer care services to all patients through multidisciplinary teams. Infrastructure facilities include a daycare setting dedicated to oncology patients. Outpatient facilities include clinics for Medical Oncology, Hematology, Paediatric Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Care. The Department has 16 full-time faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency programmes are offered in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Clinical Haematology Oncology, and a fellowship programme in Paediatric Oncology.

ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:
- Organize office and assist faculty.
- Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner.
- Create and update files & records.
- Monitor supplies consumption and maintain inventory accordingly.
- Ensure the availability of kitchen supplies and materials.
- Make and serve tea/coffee for guests/staff.
- Handle mail receiving and despatching activity across the departments (Internally & Externally).
- Provide assistance in office tasks like photocopying documents, scanning, delivering files and documents.
You should have:
- At least Matric with 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of office cleanliness.
- Knowledge of customer service.
- Ability to follow simple instructions in Urdu pertaining to work responsibilities.
Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.

- perform procedures independently/under supervision as per competency list
- follow-up patients in the recovery room and hand over patients to recovery Room personnel
- perform daily ward rounds with the members of the team and communicate findings, assessment, and plan to the Consultant
- be available on the premises when on call and attend to all patient-related issues in the ER or ward
- hand over and take over charge from the departing team when there is a change in duties on call
- facilitate learning of students, interns, residents and other health care professionals at all levels
- design clinical research appropriate to the level of training.
You should have:
- an MBBS from an institution recognized by PMDC
- FCPS Part II or equivalent in General Surgery
- four years of training in General Surgery in an accredited and reputable programme
- competence in common general surgical procedures
- strong interpersonal and communication skills.
