The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) is an experienced, highly skilled healthcare professional who provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across a range of healthcare settings. This role involves advanced clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education, working both independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and prescribe medications within the scope of practice.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure quality outcomes.
Perform minor procedures as appropriate to the scope of practice and specialty area.
Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR) in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
Monitor and follow up on patients progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and clinical research activities.
Provide mentorship, education, and support to nursing staff, students, and other healthcare team members.
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, licensure requirements, and organizational policies.
Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP) from an accredited nursing program.
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in (specify state/region).
Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the relevant specialty area (e.g., FNP, AGNP, PNP, PMHNP).
Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1-2 years in an advanced practice role preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (as applicable).
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
