As a NOC Engineer, you will be responsible for managing escalations from Level 1 staff and troubleshooting deeper network issues impacting CLS operations. You’ll maintain critical infrastructure and serve as a liaison with third-party vendors for advanced diagnostics.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Handle escalated tickets from Level 1 and perform second-level troubleshooting.
- Analyze routing and switching issues involving BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, and MPLS.
- Monitor logs, packet captures, and configuration audits to resolve service-impacting incidents.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and transport equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support and RMAs.
- Create and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
- Support planned maintenance windows and change implementation activities.
- 3+ years of experience in network operations or ISP infrastructure roles.
- Strong command over IP routing protocols and Layer 2/3 network technologies.
- Experience with Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent equipment.
- Exposure to transmission and transport technologies (DWDM, SDH, etc.) is a plus.
- Certifications such as HCIP, CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent preferred.
