Role Description

Supervise and ensure efficient working of Cafeteria and provide timely provision of food to the patients at floors and in cafeteria and parties, function & seminars. Responsible for demanding / receipts and issues food stuff to the kitchen. Conduct departmental orientation session for new comers and in-house educational sessions on food hygiene & personal hygiene etc. & arrangement of fumigation / de-infestation of (pest control) in the department ongoing basis or as required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure the quality of service according to Cafeteria SOPs is delivered to all internal and external customers
• Ensure that right diet is served to the patients
• Arrange food for official guests and ensure the presentation is in good manner
• Ensure quality health food standards are met and cooking area is up to the standards
• Ensure that inventories are stored according to standards and raise just in time inventory requests
• Prepare weekly food menu and get it approved from HOD / Incharge Cafeteria
• Prepare and implement duty roster of Cafeteria staff
• Responsible for general cleaning of cafeteria
• Strong coordination with other departments for completing various tasks
• To be responsible for completion of cafeteria meal statistics and sale revenue register.
• Provide service that is respectful of patient's values and beliefs.
• Ensure compliance of Infection Control practices & hand hygiene practices.

Requirements

• Bachelors / Masters in Hospitality Management or a related field
• Supervisory Skills and Staff Management
• Knowledge of Service Standards and Food Service operations
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Excellent Communication abilities
• 2-3 years of experience in the healthcare or hospitality industry.

The Nutrition and Food Services Department (NFSD) provides a range of products and services to students, faculty, staff as well as patients and their attendants. It comprises of a team of experienced clinical nutritionists, dietitians, and foodservice professionals. The services are provided through six sections; clinical nutrition, patient meal services, cafeteria & catering services, food production, food safety management and cost control and approximately 13,000-15,000 meals are served in a day.

You will be responsible for:

• Cleanliness of cafeterias, kitchen, offices and other places through sweeping, moping, dusting, washing etc
• Service delivery at cafeteria counter, patient meal service tray line, food production and processing areas as per the instructions
• Collection and elimination of garbage, dispose-off food waste and trash in the designated areas as per the cleaning standards
• Cleaning and sanitizing of pots, pans, equipment, utensils, exhaust food, dirty dishes etc
• Reporting food safety and other related complaints to immediate supervisor
• Assisting in preparation of hot and cold beverages, ala carte and snacks
• Assisting in preparation of various baking and cooking processes related to bakery, hot and cold kitchen
• Assisting in pre-processing of certain foods such as washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits as directed by supervisor

You should have/be:

• Matriculate with minimum 6 months to 01 year food service experience of any reputable hotel / hospital / airline / restaurants
• OR Non- Matriculate with minimum 2 to 3 years food service experience of any reputable hotel / hospital / airline / restaurants
• able to lift heavy objects/equipment like trolleys, trays etc
• ability to comprehend simple verbal and written instructions in Urdu and English
• ability to work in a team
• respectful attitude towards supervisors, colleagues and customers

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fast Food & Barista Chef located in Lahore. The role involves preparing and serving food, making and serving coffee and other beverages, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
