About the job:

As a member of the AI model team, you will drive innovation in architecture development for cutting-edge models of various scales, including small, large, and multi-modal systems. Your work will enhance intelligence, improve efficiency, and introduce new capabilities to advance the field.

You will have a deep expertise in LLM architectures, a strong grasp of pre-training optimization with a hands-on, research-driven approach. Your mission is to explore and implement novel techniques and algorithms that lead to groundbreaking advancements: data curation, strengthening baselines, identifying and resolving existing pre-training bottlenecks to push the limits of AI performance.

Responsibilities :

Conduct pre-training AI models on large, distributed servers equipped with thousands of NVIDIA GPUs. Design, prototype, and scale innovative architectures to enhance model intelligence. Independently and collaboratively execute experiments, analyze results, and refine methodologies for optimal performance. Investigate, debug, and improve both model efficiency and computational performance. Contribute to the advancement of training systems to ensure seamless scalability and efficiency on target platforms. A degree in Computer Science or related field. Ideally PhD in NLP, Machine Learning, or a related field, complemented by a solid track record in AI R&D (with good publications in A* conferences). Hands-on experience contributing to large-scale LLM training runs on large, distributed servers equipped with thousands of NVIDIA GPUs, ensuring scalability and impactful advancements in model performance. Familiarity and practical experience with large-scale, distributed training frameworks, libraries and tools. Deep knowledge of state-of-the-art transformer and non-transformer modifications aimed at enhancing intelligence, efficiency and scalability. Strong expertise in PyTorch and Hugging Face libraries with practical experience in model development, continual pretraining, and deployment.

3. Research and Develop appropriate Qualitative and Quantitative Formula (QQF) for Product in Question.
4. Prepare laboratory scale batch for technical evaluation and accelerated stability studies.
5. Submit the samples to Business Development Group for their evaluation and acceptability.
6. Arrange raw and packaging materials for pilot scale batches.
7. Identify and prepare feasibility for the manufacturing facility and equipment required for the manufacture of new /BOV Products.
8. Prepare three pilot scale batches and place on stability studies as per Zone Requirements.

• Stay abreast with changes in market dynamics, industry trends and competition. Work closely with marketing teams, customer experience and other departments in order to assist in materializing the product plan in an efficient manner.
• Assist in periodic review of existing products, including continued validity of investment and marketing strategy, commercial viability, competitive positioning and the ability to meet investor requirements.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders (compliance, legal, finance) to ensure product alignment with regulatory requirements.

The Company:

Our client is a chain of bakery and cafés. It's a young company but they have established their network across Punjab. They have exciting plans for nationwide expansion. To help them expand they are looking to recruit a talented Product Development Manager.

The Role:

OVERALL AIM:
To assist in the management of the development programme at our client, including responsibility for developing and/or engineering products, kitchen trials, product costing, factory production trials, feasibility, and product launch scheduling.

The main responsibilities of the Product Development Manager role are as follows:

1. To evaluate new products during the development process through conducting appropriate in-house and external taste panels - and maintain full & accurate records of results.
2. To provide technical support to other departments including product cooking times and temperatures, recipe ideas, nutritional data, etc.
3. To effect continuous product evaluation of both company and competitors' products (varieties, formulation, and quality), recommending action accordingly.
4. To carry out initial ingredient sourcing through close liaison with Technical and Purchasing departments.
5. To control and record all development samples across all departments - ensuring feedback and action plans are agreed.
6. Manage the process control from development concept to finished production item, organizing production trials, cost, product reviews, and development schedules. Ensure full transfer to Technical and Production at first commercial production.
7. Monitor and review the ongoing performance of new products and production requirements as necessary.
8. Carry out ad hoc projects and product feasibility reports as required.

Job Specification

The Candidate:

1. Degree in Human Ecology/Home Economics/Food Technology or related subject
2. Up to 2 years post-graduate experience in a development role or an experienced development chef is essential
3. Strong knowledge of brands, values, and processes
4. Tenacious and detailed in approach, with a 'can do attitude'
