We're building AI-powered marketing tools that will serve thousands of liquor retailers nationwide. Our Lead Developer will lead a team of 4-5 developers, architecting platforms that automate marketing at scale while shipping code in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 full-stack developers in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Architect scalable AI-powered marketing platforms from the ground up using Node.js, Next.js, and React
  • Design and implement AI/ML solutions for marketing automation, customer segmentation, and compliance tools
  • Integrate LLMs and generative AI into production applications serving thousands of retailers
  • Drive technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices
  • Ship production code daily while balancing technical debt with rapid feature delivery
  • Build MVPs that can scale to enterprise-level solutions

What You Bring

  • 5+ years production experience with Node.js, Next.js (App Router/Server Components), and React
  • 3+ years leading development teams (2+ direct reports minimum)
  • Proven track record building and deploying AI/ML applications in production
  • Experience with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), and LLM integrations
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, real-time data processing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Background in marketing tech, e-commerce, or retail tech preferred
  • Previous startup experience (Series A or earlier) and 0-to-1 product development
  • Comfortable working across all US timezones (EST to PST)
