What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 full-stack developers in a fast-paced startup environment
- Architect scalable AI-powered marketing platforms from the ground up using Node.js, Next.js, and React
- Design and implement AI/ML solutions for marketing automation, customer segmentation, and compliance tools
- Integrate LLMs and generative AI into production applications serving thousands of retailers
- Drive technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices
- Ship production code daily while balancing technical debt with rapid feature delivery
- Build MVPs that can scale to enterprise-level solutions
What You Bring
- 5+ years production experience with Node.js, Next.js (App Router/Server Components), and React
- 3+ years leading development teams (2+ direct reports minimum)
- Proven track record building and deploying AI/ML applications in production
- Experience with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate), and LLM integrations
- Expertise in microservices architecture, real-time data processing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Background in marketing tech, e-commerce, or retail tech preferred
- Previous startup experience (Series A or earlier) and 0-to-1 product development
- Comfortable working across all US timezones (EST to PST)
