AIO is a fast-paced technology start-up seeking to disrupt the US restaurant industry with a range of technology and AI-based solutions. We require a dynamic individual familiar with technology startups or equipped to work in fast paced environments with short deadlines. As part of AIO’s legal department, the Legal Counsel will work on a range of commercial matters in the technology and restaurant industry such as commercial transactions, commercial contracts, data privacy, intellectual property, and funding.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Drafting, reviewing, vetting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and documents in connection with services, intellectual property, data privacy and funding
- Assisting, drafting, and filing patent applications with USPTO.
- Conducting legal research on, and staying up to date with, existing and new laws in the US pertaining to data privacy, AI, consumer protection, funding, tax, labour, intellectual property etc.
- Providing legal support to all departments of the Company on US and Pakistan Laws.
- Coordinating execution of agreements and legal documents with colleagues and counter parties.
What are we looking for and what does it require to be the right fit for this role?
- Holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from an accredited institution. Master's in law, admission to New York Bar or California Bar will be preferred.
- 3-5 years PQE with a fast-paced legal environment either at a renowned law firm or in-house at a technology company.
- Knowledge and understanding of US procedural and substantive laws.
