The Position
We are looking for a Junior/Intermediate SQA Analyst, with expertise & experience in Manual Testing, to work as part of the BuildTopia R&D team to help ensure high quality and timely delivery of releases. He/she will be involved in defining and implementing the overall strategy for the QA teams and product releases.
Working out of the Contour Software Karachi office, the successful hire will collaborate with team members located in the mentioned office as well as those located in the US/Canada.
Qualification & Skills
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Software quality position.
- Good knowledge of Software Development life cycle.
- Good knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes.
- Good knowledge of Test Cases creation based on functional and non-functional specifications.
- Experience in Functional, Regression, and User Acceptance testing.
- Good knowledge of Identifying, Isolating, and Track Defects throughout Testing.
- Knowledge of Database/ SQL writing and executing queries and running scripts.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team/distributed teams and good organizational skills.
- Knowledge/Experience in automation is a plus.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or related postgraduate qualification is a plus).
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in business analysis or project management roles within a finance environment.
• Proven experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with proficiency in tracking and trending large datasets.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in ambiguous, evolving situations.
• Experience working in matrixed organizations and managing stakeholders across departments.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).

The Position
The Business Analyst is a strategic, is role with a primary focus on advanced analytics and product ownership tasks. This position is responsible for driving data-informed decision-making across the payments organization by leveraging advanced analytics, financial modeling, and deep domain expertise. In addition to delivering actionable insights and optimizing business performance, the Business Analyst will support product ownership activities such as requirements gathering, providing input to the product backlog, and aligning stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with business acumen, enabling the organization to unlock value from complex data and maintain a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving payments landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Strategic Evaluation
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models (e.g., IRR, ROI, NPV) to assess the viability and impact of new product initiatives, partnerships, and business cases.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze large-scale transaction data, customer behavior, and operational metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Design and deliver executive-ready presentations and reports that highlight key performance indicators and business outcomes.
- Build and maintain dashboards and automated reports to monitor product and business KPIs.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for stakeholders at all levels.
- Support quarterly and annual planning cycles with robust data visualizations and scenario modeling.
Gather and document business and technical requirements for new product features and enhancements.
- Provide input to the product backlog, ensuring prioritization is informed by data-driven insights and business value.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to translate product roadmap items into quantitative business cases.
- Define and track success metrics for new features and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Conduct post-launch evaluations to measure actual performance against forecasts and recommend course corrections.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions to drive consensus and inform decision-making.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between Product, Finance, Data, and Operations teams to ensure alignment on data inputs, modeling assumptions, and business objectives.
- Champion a data-driven culture by promoting best practices in analytics, reporting, and product development.
- 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a related field, preferably within payments, fintech, or financial services.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quick Sight).
- Strong experience in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting user stories, and supporting product development processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytics and automation.
- Experience with payments platforms (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay) or payment processing systems.
- Familiarity with cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS Redshift).
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CBAP, CFA, FRM, or relevant analytics credentials).
- Experience in agile product development environments.
- Exposure to backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
