The Assistant Manager – Technical (HVAC) is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems for data centers, commercial, and industrial projects. This role involves supervising project execution, reviewing designs, performing load calculations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4–6 years of relevant HVAC experience are required.

Conduct load calculations, system design evaluations, and BOQ preparations as per project scope and requirements.
Review HVAC design drawings, technical specifications, and ensure alignment with engineering standards and project deliverables.
Liaise with consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely execution and quality compliance.
Perform root-cause analysis and provide engineering solutions for HVAC system performance issues.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance schedules are followed for all HVAC equipment.
Maintain complete documentation, including inspection reports, testing & commissioning reports, and maintenance logs.
Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency improvements for HVAC systems.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and client-specific requirements.
Reporting ResponsibilitiesReports to the GM Technical regarding project progress, issues, and technical matters.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation of new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines, monitor the maintenance operations such that it follows blueprints or engineering specifications to install units and performs troubleshooting to identify the cause of problems.
- Maintain and perform engineering transformation of the HVAC system to ensure the safe and economical operation of the equipment by formulating HVAC SOP and management system and supervising the implementation.
- Prepare the equipment annual maintenance plan, monthly maintenance plan and spare parts plan of the HVAC system and arrange the system maintenance and transformation work.
- Assist in the development, review and approval of construction plans, including goals and objectives, work breakdown structure, detailed scope descriptions, detailed schedules, risk management approach, milestone descriptions, shop drawings, as-built drawings, budgets and staffing requirements.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient functioning of HVAC equipment by providing technical leadership in the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Establish schedules and methods for troubleshooting operational issues and review operations associated with the power plant and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure routine general inspection of electrical & electronics machinery, equipment & its maintenance and carry out planning, costing and budgeting of the maintenance services, new installations and consumables.
- Identify and perform mechanical system preventative maintenance procedures, such as changing air filters and belts, greasing bearings, and cleaning ducts, coils, and condensation pans.

- Plan HVAC upgradation projects by determining specifications; selecting contractors; establishing installation schedules; planning shutdowns and installations; integrating requirements with architectural and mechanical designs; verifying code requirements; and updating cost estimates.
- Perform audit on all HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems collect data and perform periodic evaluation and monitor logbooks and manage change processes and resolve issues.
