At Careem, the mission for the NextGen Programme is to help grow our engineers by learning how to support the QA function within Careem, write Clean Code and use SOLID principle techniques. The ultimate goal is to train new engineers to build excellent foundations with high standards. About the role:
Our QA engineers support the QA function for a squad within Careem. New successful candidates should be passionate and experienced QA Engineers, brimming with enthusiasm and brilliant testing ideas.

What you'll do:

• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Work with the project team to provide Testing Estimates.
• Hold & facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
• Execute & evaluate manual and/or automated test cases and report test results.
• Hold & facilitate bug triaging meetings with cross-functional team members.
• Participate in root cause analysis meetings with cross-functional team members.
• Ensure that validated deliverables meet requirements.
• Contribute proactively in sprint ceremonies or any ceremonies the squad follows.

What you'll need:

Qualifications:

• A Computer Science degree, equivalent qualification or practical experience.
• Minimum of 2.5 years and maximum of 4 years of experience in QA.
• Testing certifications ISTQB - CTFL.
