Job Description
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to manage and maintain our Data Center infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for administering virtualized environments, backup solutions, storage systems, and enterprise applications like G Suite, Office 365, and Active Directory. The role also includes managing Linux and Windows servers, web servers, and server monitoring tools to ensure a highly available and secure IT environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Virtualization & Backup Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi and vCenter environments.
- Manage Veeam backup solutions to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor and optimize virtual machines for performance and efficiency.
- Server Administration: Maintain and troubleshoot Linux and Windows servers.
- Manage Active Directory (AD), including user access control, group policies, and authentication.
- Administer G Suite and Office 365, ensuring smooth email and collaboration services.
- Storage & Data Management: Manage NAS, SAN, and Data Domain storage devices.
- Monitor storage performance and plan for capacity expansion.
- Ensure proper backup, archival, and data redundancy strategies are in place.
- Web & Application Servers: Maintain web servers and ensure high availability for hosted applications.
- Apply updates, security patches, and performance optimizations to web services.
- Troubleshoot server and application-related issues.
- Monitoring & Security: Implement and manage server monitoring tools for proactive issue detection.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices for system hardening and data protection.
- Regularly conduct vulnerability assessments and apply security patches.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level 3 support for system-related incidents.
- Perform root cause analysis and document resolutions.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain system documentation, including configurations, change logs, and incident reports. Generate performance and security audit reports as required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- Certifications such as MCSE, RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, or equivalent preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in system administration, preferably in data centers.
- Hands-on experience with ESXi, Veeam, vCenter, Windows & Linux servers.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, G Suite, and Office 365 administration.
- Expertise in managing NAS, SAN, and Data Domain storage solutions.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in VMware virtualization and backup technologies.
- Strong command of Linux and Windows server environments.
- Experience with PowerShell, Bash scripting, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with server monitoring solutions like Zabbix, Nagios, or PRTG.
