The chief financial officer position is accountable for the Costing, Audit, and Taxation management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Principal accountability:

1. Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
2. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
3. Develop financial and tax strategies
4. Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
5. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

Desired Qualifications:
The candidate for the chief financial officer should have a CA or CFA accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 7+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with a CA in Finance and the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations with working experience in an FMCG company.

To provide strategic financial leadership and ensure robust financial planning, management, reporting, and control to support business growth and operational excellence. The CFO will lead all functions related to financial management, banking, costing, and forecasting, while enabling data-driven decision-making and regulatory compliance across the manufacturing and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and finalization of accurate and timely financial statements as per IFRS and local regulations
• Supervise budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating plan development in collaboration with all business functions
• Ensure timely completion of annual audited accounts by coordinating with external auditors
• Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions for LCs, working capital financing, and treasury operations
• Ensure 100% compliance with all taxation matters including sales tax, income tax, and regulatory filings
• Monitor cash flow, working capital requirements, and optimize financial resources to meet operational needs
• Design and implement robust costing models to accurately capture standard and actual product costs
• Analyze cost variances and recommend efficiency improvements to enhance profitability
• Oversee centralization of the accounts department to streamline reporting and standardize financial controls
• Ensure timely and systematic financial reporting, including salaries, wages, and utilities analysis
• Provide timely, relevant, and accurate financial insights to management across COS, selling, and distribution functions
• Support development of business models and tools for improved decision-making and strategic planning
• Act as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO, providing input on business planning, risk management, and investment decisions

• 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance, with 8+ years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in banking, treasury, costing, taxation, and financial reporting.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and working with external auditors.
• Solid track record as a financial advisor to CEO/Board, with strong business acumen and decision-support capabilities.
