Position Summary:
The Senior Manager for Accounting and Data Management in the Office of Advancement will oversee financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and audit activities related to fundraising, data management, and advancement projects. The role ensures compliance with local and international financial standards, donor requirements, and institutional policies. The incumbent will serve as the primary finance resource within the Office of Advancement, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and donors to uphold financial integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Management
- Lead financial planning and budgeting for the Office of Advancement and its projects.
- Ensure accurate financial forecasting and budget control.
- Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial reports to leadership.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with AKU Finance and AKF units to ensure transparent fund allocation aligned with donor intent and timely gift recording.
Donor Fund Management:
- Maintain transparent, auditable records for donor contributions, endowments, and grants.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, including fund restrictions and reporting.
- Coordinate with advancement officers for timely financial reporting to donors.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare periodic financial reports according to standards.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to authorities and stakeholders.
- Oversee financial aspects of audits.
Data Integrity & Systems Oversight:
Support strategies to improve data systems, ensuring accuracy, security, and effective technology use.
Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Design internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Support audit processes.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building:
- Lead and mentor finance staff.
- Train in financial management best practices.
- Build capacity in donor financial management and foster a high-performance culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAP or equivalent (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA recognized in Pakistan).
- 7-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in higher education, nonprofit, or donor-funded organizations.
- Experience with donor financial reporting, fund management, and project budgeting.
Preferred:
- Experience in advancement/development offices.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and donor databases (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud Raiser's Edge).
- Understanding of international charitable giving tax and financial standards.
Skills and Competencies:
- High integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.

The project aims to introduce Taleemabad's digital education solutions in public primary schools. As part of this initiative, the project involves the establishment of an institute which will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and executing a program for digital teacher training. The primary objective of the project is to enhance the quality of education in public schools, with a specific focus on teacher training and professional development.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Mentor to join our team for a 24-month project. The CPD Mentor will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the teacher training program and providing leadership to a team of nine to ten CPD coaches. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in developing and conducting training for teachers, preferably with some teaching experience and excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including the officials from education department and school principals, to ensure the successful implementation of the project.

Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or obstacles that may arise during the implementation of the project.
Foster a high-energy and collaborative work environment, encouraging creativity, innovation, and teamwork among the CPD coaches and other team members.
