Purpose of the Role
The Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions using Oracle NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW) and other BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. The role focuses on integrating data from NetSuite ERP and external sources, building interactive dashboards, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities1. BI Development & Reporting
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI / Tableau / QlikView, with a focus on extending expertise to NSAW (Oracle Analytics Cloud).
- Build and maintain data models, KPIs, and performance scorecards across business functions.

2. Data Analysis & Insights
- Gather business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.

3. Data Management & Integration
- Work with IT teams to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from NetSuite ERP and other systems (CRM, HRMS, LMS, Marketing tools).
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across reporting platforms.
- Document data flows, transformation rules, and reporting processes.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with Finance, Academics, Marketing, HR, and Operations teams to deliver department-specific dashboards.
- Train end-users on BI tools (Power BI/NSAW) and provide ongoing support.
- Respond to ad-hoc data and reporting requests.
5. Optimization & Innovation
- Optimize SQL queries, data models, and dashboards for performance and usability.
- Continuously improve BI solutions by leveraging new features in NSAW and Power BI.
- Recommend best practices for BI adoption across the organization.
