INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Business Growth and Research Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving business expansion by combining strategic market research with direct business development initiatives in global Oil & Gas markets.
You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, generating qualified leads, supporting sales performance, and strengthening INTECH’s positioning through competitive intelligence and relationship-building.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver
1.Strategic Market Intelligence & Business Mapping
- Proactively research and map emerging projects, tenders, and investment trends across African Oil & Gas and Energy markets using industry databases, news, and direct sources.
- Maintain an up-to-date opportunity pipeline with key stakeholders, influencers, and client DMUs (Decision-Making Units) mapped for each prospect.
- Identify underserved technical areas where INTECH can create a differentiated value proposition by mapping market gaps with INTECH’s offerings.
2.Lead Generation & Business Development
- Develop and nurture leads into qualified opportunities through targeted outreach, client meetings, and engagement with mid- to senior-level executives in major Oil & Gas companies
- Drive pre-qualification processes, vendor registrations, and first-contact meetings with new clients.
- Act as a technical-commercial representative of INTECH during client engagement, proposal discussions, and RFQ developments.
3.Sales and Business Development
- Own and achieve annual sales targets by maintaining close, regular contact with clients and pursuing new leads through cold calling, technical discussions, and relationship-building efforts.
- Drive market positioning by analyzing competitor activities, engaging Decision-Making Units (DMUs), and spearheading internal sales strategy sessions to expand the opportunity pipeline.
- Work closely with the Sales team to monitor performance KPIs, assess pipeline quality, and identify gaps in pursuit strategies.
- Lead internal sales alignment meetings with actionable insights based on data, field intelligence, and win/loss analysis.
- Collaborate with proposal and engineering teams to co-create pursuit strategies for large-scale opportunities.
4.Strategic Support to General Manager
- Act as the GM’s support in handling daily operational follow-ups, meetings, and key discussions.
- Prepare business reports, presentations, and insights for strategy meetings.
- Assist in analyzing historical sales data, financial forecasts, and monthly reports, measuring performance against budgeted values.
5.Sales Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor the daily activities of INTECH’s salespersons across different countries, tracking sales calls, meetings, and lead generation efforts.
- Analyze lead generation, opportunity creation, and sales pipeline trends using CRM tools.
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in sales processes and report findings to the GM.
- Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards for management to assess business performance.
- Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- At least 3+ years of hands-on sales and business development experience in Industrial Automation or similar.
- Proven track record of selling solutions to reputable organizations against assigned yearly targets
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specializing in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Software, or Mechatronics, is required. MBA is preferred
- Strong technical background with the ability to serve as a consultant and advisor to clients.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, proficiency in English, and strong networking and relationship management abilities for effective interaction with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple cities in Africa for business development, fostering relationships, and exploring diverse market opportunities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, tenacious, with a pleasant and friendly personality, passionate, and with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals (must be a high performer in some domains).
- Ability to work in uncertain scenarios, develop multiple strategies, and execute them in parallel.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet sales quotas and targets.

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Business Growth and Research Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving business expansion by combining strategic market research with direct business development initiatives in global Oil & Gas markets.
You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, generating qualified leads, supporting sales performance, and strengthening INTECH’s positioning through competitive intelligence and relationship-building.

What You’ll Lead And Deliver
Strategic Market Intelligence & Business Mapping Proactively research and map emerging projects, tenders, and investment trends across African Oil & Gas and Energy markets using industry databases, news, and direct sources. Maintain an up-to-date opportunity pipeline with key stakeholders, influencers, and client DMUs (Decision-Making Units) mapped for each prospect. Identify underserved technical areas where INTECH can create a differentiated value proposition by mapping market gaps with INTECH’s offerings. Lead Generation & Business Development Develop and nurture leads into qualified opportunities through targeted outreach, client meetings, and engagement with mid- to senior-level executives in major Oil & Gas companies Drive pre-qualification processes, vendor registrations, and first-contact meetings with new clients. Act as a technical-commercial representative of INTECH during client engagement, proposal discussions, and RFQ developments. Sales and Business Development Own and achieve annual sales targets by maintaining close, regular contact with clients and pursuing new leads through cold calling, technical discussions, and relationship-building efforts. Drive market positioning by analyzing competitor activities, engaging Decision-Making Units (DMUs), and spearheading internal sales strategy sessions to expand the opportunity pipeline. Work closely with the Sales team to monitor performance KPIs, assess pipeline quality, and identify gaps in pursuit strategies. Lead internal sales alignment meetings with actionable insights based on data, field intelligence, and win/loss analysis. Collaborate with proposal and engineering teams to co-create pursuit strategies for large-scale opportunities. Strategic Support to General Manager Act as the GM’s support in handling daily operational follow-ups, meetings, and key discussions. Prepare business reports, presentations, and insights for strategy meetings. Assist in analyzing historical sales data, financial forecasts, and monthly reports, measuring performance against budgeted values. Sales Performance Monitoring & Analysis Monitor the daily activities of INTECH’s salespersons across different countries, tracking sales calls, meetings, and lead generation efforts. Analyze lead generation, opportunity creation, and sales pipeline trends using CRM tools. Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in sales processes and report findings to the GM. Prepare weekly and monthly dashboards for management to assess business performance. Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
At least 3+ years of hands-on sales and business development experience in Industrial Automation or similar. Proven track record of selling solutions to reputable organizations against assigned yearly targets Bachelor's degree in Engineering, specializing in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Software, or Mechatronics, is required. MBA is preferred Strong technical background with the ability to serve as a consultant and advisor to clients. Excellent presentation and communication skills, proficiency in English, and strong networking and relationship management abilities for effective interaction with clients, partners, and internal teams. Willingness and ability to travel to multiple cities in Africa for business development, fostering relationships, and exploring diverse market opportunities. Self-motivated, results-oriented, tenacious, with a pleasant and friendly personality, passionate, and with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals (must be a high performer in some domains). Ability to work in uncertain scenarios, develop multiple strategies, and execute them in parallel. Ability to perform under pressure and meet sales quotas and targets.
