About the role:
Manager Business Planning will work closely with technology, commercial and other divisions as well as within BPA to ensure effective delivery around Capex. The position will also require insightful and dynamic analysis to support business decision making. The position reports to Senior Business Manager Technology & Digital in Business Planning and Analysis.
Your Impactful Goals will include:
- Detailed analysis around Capex, CoGs and Opex for technology division
- Review Opex Forecast submitted by various Technology departments.
- Through the review process liaise with respective teams to ensure Forecast is finalized and presented to the Management for their approval
- Review monthly Opex reporting to ensure it is accurate and to monitor the expenditures against forecasts
- Preparation of monthly reports Involves constant liaison with stakeholders in Technology, Accounts and Strategy teams over an extended period
- Preparation and evaluation of IC cases to determine whether a project is feasible and is aligned with company’s strategic goals
- Post-evaluation of IC cases and offers to determine to what extent the objectives were achieved along with recommendations for future offer roadmap
- Ad hoc analysis projects including close the gap sessions to achieve overall company’s targets conducted when necessary during the year
- Analyze large sets of data with accuracy and provide meaningful actionable insights to top management
- Develop understanding of key value drivers for important KPIs in the telecom sector, as well as understanding of macro & micro-economic indicators and their impact on Telenor Pakistan
- Provide support to other divisions/departments (strategy, reporting, operational excellence, etc.) as part of different project teams (including Group initiated projects)
How will your Typical Day look like:
- Preparing, executing and improving financial models to support in forecasting/reporting to reduce turnaround time
- Developing a forecasting database incorporating trends seen in actual daily and monthly reporting
- Efficiently supporting in running ad-hoc analyses as demanded by management to support decision making and to highlight key drivers behind revenues
- Carrying out analysis of different value drivers, trends and development and responsible for providing decision support to management
- Liaison with accounts and technology teams for monthly financial closings
