Or
Masters in Mass Communication / Masters in Administrative Sciences with minimum 08 years of experience in people management/ dealing, having contact with media persons and relevant experience of the field.
Responsibilities:
- Make arrangements for regular scan of local and national newspapers and coverage of radio and television programs, identification of items having a bearing on the company’s image and supervise the preparation and release of any response / rebuttals from the company’s side.
- Plan monthly visits to media houses or schedule meetings with anchorpersons and morning show hosts from different TV channels.
- Ensure placements of all news and print publications in tier 1 and tier 2 newspapers.
- Develop and maintain amicable professional relationships with the media fraternity to ensure timely dissipation of correct information regarding the Company.
- Maintain amicable public dealing skills to act as liaison within the Organization.
- Maintain a list of cheques released against printed publications as received by PID (Press Information Department).
- Oversee the media coverage of all events (internal and external) for portraying a positive image of the organization.
- Keep close liaison with the media monitoring agency, hired for tracking company / industry related news / advertisements.
- Ensure liaison with respective departments to receive relevant data / information for publications.
- Recommend changes to publications for easier readability, checking if publications are as per guidelines and submitting draft design to supervisor for review and further processing.
- Support in the development of communication strategy to ensure it is in line with the Company’s vision and mission.
- Secure strategic media placements assisting corporate reputation and business goals.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain smooth and cordial business relations with important members of print and electronic media especially with energy and commerce reporters, with a view to avail their services to enhance the image of the company by ensuring immediate and wide coverage of important news, events and achievements of the company.
- Develop and maintain amicable business relations with other institutions such as APNS, PBA, PID, MoIB, and MoE.
- Stay up to date with changes in APNS / PID / PBA rules and regulations through regular communication with their officials and guide team when changes are announced.
- Oversee communications to the media, including preparing articles, press kits, press releases, and other content initiatives.
- Become a liaison between the media fraternity and Organization in order to ensure correct information with proper facts and figures is presented to the media fraternity.

- Write pitches, backgrounders, press releases, key messages, blog posts and articles portraying a positive image of the organization.
- Support framing and development of main message points for better position prior to media interviews.
- Prepare speeches, talk points and varied communications materials assisting company spokesperson.
- Oversee the securing of strategic media placements assisting corporate reputation and business goals.
- In case of any special event or any emergency within the company, play a leading role in dissipating timely and correct information to external stakeholders including public and customers.
- Ensure that a favorable image of the company is presented at important events and forums.
- Act as an internal consultant in providing advice and guidance to other SSGC departments on matters having a bearing on the public image of the company.
- Oversee translations of various documents as and when required. Supervise team for the same, ensuring that necessary guidelines are followed.
- Keep close liaison with the media monitoring agency, hired for tracking company / industry related news / advertisements.
- Prepare communication strategy for SSGC to ensure that it is in line with SSGC’s vision and mission / business strategy and submit to senior management for final approval.
- Stop negative news from airing by using a proactive approach to ensure all stories present a balanced viewpoint.
- Supervise the preparation and release of any response / rebuttals from the company’s side.
- Carry out any other task as assigned by GM, Corporate Communications and senior management.
