The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile processes, removing impediments, and enabling our development teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently. You will serve as a servant-leader and coach for multiple agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
The selected individual will preferrable work in the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Act as a coach and mentor to Scrum teams, ensuring proper implementation of Agile practices.
• Remove team-level impediments and help the team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
• Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a healthy product backlog is maintained, and that items are well-defined and prioritized.
• Track and report Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts, sprint health) to stakeholders.
• Foster a high-trust, safe environment where problems can be raised and resolved collaboratively.
• Guide the team in continuous improvement practices.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and work closely with QA, DevOps, and Product Management teams.
• Participate in organization-wide Agile maturity initiatives and help scale Agile practices.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps and Jira.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern development practices (CI/CD, DevOps).
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
• Knowledge of Kanban or SAFe frameworks.
• Background in software engineering or QA is a plus.
• Experience in tools like Confluence, Trello, Miro, or Notion for documentation and collaboration.
