Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Financial Reporting & Analysis

  2. Own Month-End & Year-End Closings
    Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and accounts are reconciled. Manage the reconciliation of key accounts such as bank, inventory, and fixed assets, ensuring accuracy.
  3. Drive Audit & Compliance
    Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements. Address audit queries swiftly and implement audit recommendations to improve processes.
  4. Manage Taxation & Regulatory Filings
    Ensure accurate and timely filing of all taxes, including VAT, GST, and corporate taxes. Stay ahead of changes in tax laws, ensuring timely compliance and optimization of tax planning.
  5. Enhance Internal Controls & Processes
    Strengthen internal controls to ensure financial integrity and safeguard assets. Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements that drive results.
  6. Mentor & Lead a High-Performing Team
    Lead, mentor, and develop junior accountants, ensuring exceptional performance. Provide guidance, training, and feedback to foster professional growth and high-quality work.
  7. Support Budgeting & Forecasting
    Collaborate on the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts that influence business strategy. Analyze variances and provide senior management with clear, actionable insights.
  8. Drive Strategic Financial Decisions
    Work with senior leadership to provide financial insights that inform key business decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and new initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  2. CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification preferred.
  3. 4+ years of hands-on experience in financial reporting and accounting.
  4. Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  7. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

THE POSITION
We are looking to hire an Application Support Analyst, with good Accounting/Bookkeeping skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, successful candidate would work from the Contour-Karachi office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the first line of communication with clients, thus focusing intently on customer satisfaction and relationship management

  • Resolve user knowledge-caused issues and other configuration, troubleshooting and software installation issues.

  • Meets all defined service levels for unresolved problems, re-assigns ticket to the appropriate internal/external team

  • Attends and participates in Team meetings

  • Attends CHS product training, as required

  • Makes recommendations to address problems, improve service and provide improved support

  • Develops frequently asked questions (FAQ) documentation

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • University degree in Accounting or related fields

  • Some Experience of working on software support would be an asset (preferably with international customers)

  • Industry experience residential/commercial construction, property management, real estate management concepts/methodologies and general accounting practices

  • Proficient in MS Windows applications

  • Excellent communication skills with clients at all levels

  • An aptitude for caring for Customers

  • Must have the analytical ability to resolve customer issues

  • Comfortable managing conflicting demands

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

  • Positive team attitude and ability to adapt to a fast-pace environment

Work Timings :

Grade Level: L3 Location: Islamabad Last date to apply: 27th August, 2025 What is Manager Financial Reporting? Manager Financial Reporting is part of Record-to-Report (R2R) Service Operations team, which is providing accounting and reporting services to VEON HQ. Manager Financial Reporting will be mainly responsible for monthly closing and group financial reporting for HQ entities, and will also play critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting and reporting under our digital transformation roadmap. As part of the shared services set up, the role reports to Head of Record-to-Report (R2R) and requires strong collaboration with HQ functions. What does Manager Financial Reporting do? · Perform group financial reporting, including detailed IFRS assessment of transactions and events such as mergers, acquisitions, divestments, liquidations, dividends, share-based compensation, financial instruments, provisions, intercompany and related party, and other group strategic transactions. · Maintain relationship with business as well as other finance teams to effectively run R2R processes. · Coordinate monthly closing ensuring service delivery in line with agreed KPIs and targets. · Prepare monthly closing dashboards including reconciliations, variance analysis and commentaries. Follow-up on identified corrections and adjustments. · Assist HQ teams in accounting and IFRS reporting side of strategic projects. · Actively participate in the implementation, maintenance and improvements of ERP and associated systems. · Assist in management reporting, income tax reporting, VAT filing, other statutory reporting and external/internal audits facilitation. · Ensure compliance with SOX controls including documentation and reporting. · Understand business challenges relevant to key operations and formulate ways to address them in the best possible ways. · Identify and support implementation of end-to-end process improvement initiatives in accordance with R2R automation and digital transformation objectives.
