Position Purpose:
The Office of Accessibility and Inclusion at LUMS invites applications for a Team Lead Academic Accommodations and Accessibility to join the team. The position will serve to operationalize OAI’s commitment to providing support to students with disabilities in accordance with LUMS and HEC’s policies, and liaison with stakeholders across campus to ensure smooth implementation of the accessibility policies, supporting students, faculty, and staff.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develop, implement, review and revise practices, services and policies related to the delivery of Academic Accommodations and Accessibility.
  2. Collaborate with team members/other departments to devise and implement plans to make the experience at LUMS more inclusive for both students and staff.
  3. Oversee coordination between students, OAI, the Accessibility Committee and facilitators of students/employees with disabilities.
  4. Prepare, maintain, and update website material related to the domain.
  5. In consultation with the Director develop and implement quality-based assessment processes to improve the Academic Accommodation program progress.
  6. Design and incorporate technological changes and process enhancements in support of Academic Accommodation.
  7. Maintain records of interactions with students with disabilities and analyze effectiveness of accommodations; compile reports and analyze data related to accommodations, compliance, and program efficacy.
  8. Collect and maintain data to evaluate and measure the success of the program. Review and evaluate assistive technologies and research, while keeping a prime focus on learning alternatives for students with disabilities.
  9. Develop and deliver awareness campaigns, workshops and mandatory trainings across LUMS community and build an inclusive community where everyone feels safe and welcomed.
  10. Additional duties as assigned by the Director.

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. MS Office Suite: Understanding the core functions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  2. Research Fundamentals: Grasp of concepts and techniques in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  3. Communication: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively in both written and spoken forms.
  4. Time Management and Organization: Capacity to plan activities, meet deadlines, and keep work structured.
  5. Interpersonal Communication: Collaborating effectively with others, including building relationships and resolving conflicts.
