Role Overview:
As an Academic Counsellor, you’ll play a key role in helping students explore academic opportunities in various destinations. You will assess their profiles, understand their goals, and provide tailored advice to guide them through the application and visa process. Your ability to communicate clearly and build trust will be vital in helping students take one of the most important steps of their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert counselling to students regarding study options based on their academic background, career goals, and budget.
- Manage student leads via calls/emails, follow up with potential candidates, and assist in converting inquiries into enrolments.
- Develop high-quality informational and promotional video content related to study opportunities, admission processes, and student guidance.
- Guide students throughout the admission and visa application process.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with students and their families.
- Conduct one-on-one sessions, group info sessions, and presentations.
- Maintain student records and manage application workflows efficiently.
- Stay updated on university programs, entry requirements, and visa regulations.
- Collaborate with the admissions and marketing teams to convert leads into enrolments.
- Participate in training, workshops, and events to enhance your professional knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- 1 year of relevant experience in student counselling is preferred but not necessary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Confident public speaker with a warm and empathetic approach
- Tech-savvy, with working knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools
- Knowledge of education systems and visa procedures is preferred
