Job DescriptionThe incumbent will be responsible for providing specialised nursing care to pediatric oncology patients reporting to Shared Care Centre (SCC), Larkana (outpatient/ward)
She/he will ensure delivery of high-quality patient care, maintain accurate documentation and provide daily handovers to support continuity of care.
· This is Contractual Position of Staff Nurse Pediatric Oncology, Larkana - Evening Shift (3 PM – 10 PM).
· Provide comprehensive nursing care tailored to pediatric oncology patients in the ward.
· Administer medications, treatments, and supportive care as prescribed by the medical team.
· Monitor patient condition, including vital signs, and report any changes promptly.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
· Conduct daily handovers to incoming nursing staff, ensuring continuity and clarity in patient care plans.
· Assist in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient treatment and recovery.
· Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies at all times.
· Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families as needed.

- Lead and conduct "Health Baithaks" (community sensitization sessions) to disseminate accurate information about HPV vaccination, and its benefits, specifically targeting 9–14-year-old (OOSGs) and their parents/guardians.
- Help organize and actively participate in community events designed to promote health awareness and vaccination.
- Refer and ensuring participation of eligible girls for HPV vaccination to EPI outreach camps during the campaign.
- Proactively will identify and will do follow up on HPV vaccination refusal cases and girls who have missed their vaccination opportunities, through addressing the barriers/reasons and providing targeted education or support in coordination with IHHN district staff.
- Ensure continued referral of eligible girls to the nearest EPI centers for vaccination after the campaign concludes, facilitating sustained access to services.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all community interactions, sensitization sessions conducted, vaccination referrals, follow-up activities, and any refusal or missed cases.
- Provide regular and timely reports on community activities, challenges, successes, and feedback to the project team.
- A community woman with a strong connection to and understanding of the local social and cultural norms in Sindh Province.
- Demonstrated basic healthcare knowledge or experience in community health initiatives.
- Ability to facilitate group discussions and conduct sensitization sessions, experience in community mobilization, health education, or similar frontline roles.
- Willing to conduct visits in the catchment area as per agreed workplan and maintain proper record keeping
- Familiarity with immunization programs, particularly EPI in Pakistan, will be a value addition.
