As the custodian of client relationships, a relationship manager operates at the intersection of financial expertise and customer-centricity. They take a holistic approach, delving deep into the financial aspirations and requirements of each client, crafting bespoke solutions that align with their long-term goals.

Responsibilities
  1. Implement approved sales/service plans to achieve growth objectives by coordinating micro-level sales/service delivery plans with BM/RM.
  2. Establish contact and develop relationships with customers to sell products as per the bank's SOP.
  3. Achieve sales targets ethically, following SOPs, and avoiding family loaning, activist base lending, and adjustment lending.
  4. Make the business profitable through loan sales and increasing customer base, adhering to SOPs.
  5. Market bank products and develop sales strategies.
  6. Persuasion and negotiation skills.
  7. Identify business opportunities and evaluate industry prospects.
  8. Assess customer profiles using the five C’s of credit.
  9. Communicate product terms and conditions clearly.
  10. Conduct physical verification of prospective clients to ensure performance.
  11. Ensure proactive collection and timely repayment of loans, maintaining 100% collection rates following SOPs.
  12. Handle customer legal documents carefully to prevent misuse.

  14. Minimize cash handling during field operations, ensuring strict adherence to collection manuals.
  15. Prepare weekly activity plans and monitor deviations.
  16. Conduct regular customer meetings as per product programs.
  17. Ensure loan booking compliance with policies, procedures, and ethics.
  18. Continuously update product and service knowledge based on customer feedback.
  19. Perform market research to identify new selling opportunities and review existing markets.
  20. Maintain high service standards and ensure no complaints are received.
  21. Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  22. Report fraud or potential losses promptly.
  23. Ensure compliance with SOPs and regulations to protect the bank’s reputation.
  24. Manage, develop, and motivate the credit business team.
  25. Lead the branch to meet profitability and sales targets while adhering to policies and regulations.
  26. Develop relationship strategies focusing on verification, disbursement, collection, and cross-selling.
  27. Manage the branch’s asset portfolio and ensure timely sales, verification, and collection.

  29. Plan capacity to achieve loan volume and zero defaults through effective verification and collection.
  30. Coordinate with operations for timely loan disbursal following SOPs.

  2. Work in close liaison with Branch Manager to achieve optimum results.

  4. Create a working environment where customers receive the best attention and service.
  5. Ensure staff compliance with Bank SOPs, controls, and recommend timely staff rotations.
