Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT & Network Support Specialist to manage and support our site's IT infrastructure. The role involves installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networks. The ideal candidate will have experience with LAN/WAN systems, VoIP, DNS, DHCP, Switches, Routers and cybersecurity practices. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, conducting site surveys, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Strong documentation and vendor coordination skills are essential.

Job Description:

• Patching and termination on patch panel, MDF, and CCTV for telecom rack.

• Making I/O, LAN cables (straight & crossover), and working with WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.

• Conducting DTX testing, troubleshooting IP based systems, and working with IP protocols.

• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading IT hardware, software, networks, and systems at the site.

• Providing technical assistance and support to site employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

• Supervising a team of IT technicians or support staff.

• Working on structured cabling and hardware systems including servers, memory modules, routers, switches, PDU and peripherals.

• Reading and understanding drawings to work according to specifications.

• Conducting site surveys.

• Troubleshooting and resolving IT and network issues as needed.

• Designing, deploying, and managing network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, wireless).

• Ensuring the security and integrity of data and network systems, implementing network security measures to protect against cyber threats.

• Monitoring system and network performance, making adjustments for optimal operation.

• Collaborating with vendors, service providers, and other IT staff to manage and improve infrastructure.

• Documenting configurations, updates, and technical procedures.

• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Network Configuration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for remotely configuring, testing, and securing customer-premises equipment (CPE) across a wide range of technologies and platforms. You will collaborate with IT developers to automate provisioning workflows and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Configuration & Deployment
  
  Configure and validate routers, switches, SD-WAN devices, firewalls, and media converters (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, VeloCloud, Mushroom, etc.) for customer deployments.
• Template Management & Automation
  
  Maintain and enhance configuration templates for various ISP/MSP service types. Collaborate with software developers to automate provisioning and reduce manual effort.
• Pre-Deployment Testing
  
  Conduct functional and security testing of customer equipment to ensure readiness prior to shipment.
• Inventory & System Integration
  
  Load configuration data and metadata into inventory, provisioning, and order management systems.
• Troubleshooting & RCA
  
  Perform root cause analysis on failed or returned equipment and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Security & Compliance
  
  Apply and maintain security policies to safeguard customer and internal networks from unauthorized access or abuse.
• Cross-Functional Communication
  
  Coordinate with technical support, service delivery, NOC, and engineering teams to ensure visibility into configuration changes and deployment status.
• Process Improvement
  
  Identify and automate repetitive tasks to focus on complex configurations and enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Certifications
  
  Junior to intermediate certifications in Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Juniper (JNCIA/JNCIS), or Adtran (ACA/ACNP) preferred.
• Experience
  
  3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting ISP/MSP customer equipment, including protocols such as BGP, MPLS, ACLs, static routing, PRI, and FXS.
• Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network topologies
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud-managed networking, and electronic provisioning systems
• Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus

• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Work Schedule

• Full-time, remote position
• Standard business hours based on Pacific Time (Los Angeles)
