Job Specification
  1. Master Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Solid Waste Management, or Public Health Engineering.
  2. Skilled in field-related software, MS Office, and others.
  3. 08 years’ experience in relevant field, including at least 02 years’ experience in Solid Waste Management, knowledge of landfills and other solid waste recovery and disposal techniques.
  4. Preference will be given to candidates with international experience/donor funded projects and/or experience in local government devolution and reform-related assignments, preferably in water supply, sanitation, and solid waste management.
  5. Candidates with multilateral or bilateral donor project experience will be preferred.

  • Oversee and/or participate in FERC inspections, Part 12 inspections, Potential Failure Modes Analysis (PFMA), and Risk Analysis workshops.
  • Oversee dam safety surveillance and monitoring programs including internal engineer dam safety inspections, collection and interpretation of instrumentation data, detailed gate inspections, bathymetry surveys, penstock inspections, dive inspections, and monument surveys.
  • Lead the development and review of critical documentation, including Dam Safety Surveillance and Monitoring Plans, Supporting Technical Information Documents (STIDs), and Dam Safety Surveillance and Monitoring Reports (DSSMRs).
  • Collaborate with and manage consultants, to ensure high-quality and timely engineering analyses and reporting.
  • Provide oversight for civil and dam construction projects to ensure adherence to safety standards, timely delivery, and project completion in accordance with the design intent.
  • Support periodic reviews of the Owner’s Dam Safety Program both internally and externally
  • Collaborate with the Dam Safety team to develop and deliver company-wide dam safety training to expand understanding, appreciation, and awareness of dam safety considerations and to foster a safety-first culture throughout the company.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the dam and public safety programs

What skills and experience you’ll need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
