1. Maintaining a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial, and wholesale accounts.

Job Title: Production Planner

Location: Management Consulting - Lahore, Pakistan

1. Liaison with Head Supply Chain to plan the final delivery dates and prepare planning schedules and work statements identifying detailed facility requirements, manpower requirements, and material lists of respective sections.
2. Strictly monitor production process to ensure precise conformance to PPC Plan.
3. Assess appropriate manufacturing processes on the basis of production specifications and calculate tools, equipment, materials, and human resource requirements, taking into consideration plant/machines capacity data and report to Head Supply Chain.
4. Assess direct and indirect raw material requirements in the respective sections and finalize raw material planning under guidance of Head Supply Chain.
5. Prepare purchase plan for the respective sections.
6. Take immediate follow-up for any unforeseen delay in manufacturing process.
7. Liaison with all concerned departments in case of any delays.
8. When any proceeding starts to deviate from PPC plan, immediately inform Head Supply Chain and assist in devising alternate schedule without disturbing the major delivery plan.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelors in Polymer / Mechanical / Chemical / Plastic Engineering with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Master’s Degree shall be preferred. Candidates having experience in Plastic Injection Molding shall be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

1. Awareness of plastics injection-mold fabrication processes.
2. Create and improve injection-mold machinery.
3. Research and develop new manufacturing processes.
4. Analyze manufacturing data and suggest improvements.
5. Analyze production and machinery line.
6. Ensure quality output of molded components.
7. Develop and design engineered plastic parts, inject molded parts and assemblies.

Plan imports keeping in mind the material requirement timelines and time required for freight delivery, and search for suitable vendors accordingly.

Follow up with all concerns, maintain import updates, and share with Head Supply Chain on a regular basis.

Review shipping documents (invoice, packing list, B/L, FTA, etc.) and other certificates.

Ensure all import documentation is properly maintained.

Negotiate with suppliers, indenters, and clearing agents to obtain the best freight rates and services.

Supervise coordination with the stores regarding the stock of items in store as per re-order level.

Conduct quarterly meetings for setting, reviewing, and revising performance standards and KRAs of the direct reportees, as well as conduct performance monitoring sessions as needed.
