Job Summary:
A seasoned finance leader with over 30 years of experience in multinational environments, the Finance Director will be responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, risk management, international compliance, and long-term financial sustainability of the organization. This role demands a high-level strategist and hands-on leader capable of navigating complex global operations while driving financial excellence, governance, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and lead financial strategy across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Advise the executive team and Board on financial planning, investment opportunities, capital structure, and risk.
- Lead M&A financial due diligence, integration, and strategic partnerships where applicable.
Global Financial Operations
- Oversee and harmonize global finance functions, ensuring consistency in financial policies and processes across regions.
- Manage multi-currency, multi-entity accounting structures and consolidations.
- Drive working capital optimization and funding strategies across business units.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP), tax regulations, and audit requirements across all operational regions.
- Interface with auditors, legal advisors, and global tax authorities to manage risk and ensure governance.
- Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks across global subsidiaries.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
- Lead the global financial planning & analysis (FP&A) function, including annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts.
- Provide insight-driven financial analytics to support commercial decisions and market expansions.
- Oversee scenario modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and investment appraisals.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior finance leaders across multiple regions and cultures.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, integrity, and business partnering.
- Serve as a key member of the global executive leadership team, contributing beyond finance.
Technology & Transformation
- Drive financial digital transformation initiatives including ERP upgrades, automation, and data analytics.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and financial visibility across the enterprise.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Certifications: CPA / CA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent international qualification.
- Experience: 30+ years in finance leadership roles, including at least 10 years in a top-tier multinational corporation with regional or global responsibilities.
Key Competencies:
- Global financial management and cross-border compliance
- Strategic leadership and executive advisory
- M&A and capital markets experience
- Advanced risk management and governance
- Leadership in multicultural and matrixed organizations
- Expertise in international tax and treasury
- Strong communication and boardroom presence

Preferred Industry Experience: Manufacturing, FMCG, Energy, Pharmaceuticals, Technology, Automotive, etc
Reporting and Stakeholder Management:
- Reports directly to the CEO / Group CFO
- Works closely with the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Global Business Unit Heads
- Represents finance in global leadership forums
