We have trained over 2.9 million cotton farmers in 26 countries, and more than a fifth of the world’s cotton is now grown under the Better Cotton Standard. Our network includes over 2,400 members.
Better Cotton Initiative, Pakistan (BCI Pakistan) is registered in Pakistan and operates under a collaboration agreement with Better Cotton, Global.
The objective of this exercise is to verify farmer data telephonically using contact numbers from the Better Cotton farmer database. Building on ongoing work, this verification aims to validate the accuracy of recorded information through direct engagement with farmers.
The insights from this process will illuminate the actual distribution of cotton cultivation and program coverage, helping to refine the program’s effectiveness and impact in Pakistan.
Scope of WorkThe assignment involves telephonic verification of approximately 321,000 farmers across all Producer Units (PUs), with an expected validity of over 95% of the phone numbers. The numbers relate to carriers like Jazz, Telenor, Zong, Warid, and Ufone. Farmers are mainly in South Punjab and Sindh, requiring fluency in Saraiki and Sindhi. The goal is to validate the accuracy of farmer records and improve data credibility.
Complete bidding documents can be submitted to BCI Pakistan Office, Lahore, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, via registered courier. Hand submissions or physical visits are not permitted.
Sealed bids must reach the office by 5:00 pm on 24-08-2025 and be marked “Bid for Telephonic Farmer Data Validation for Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) Pakistan”.
Each service should have only one quoted option; multiple options or rates may lead to rejection. Rates must include all taxes, duties, fees, and related costs.
The BCI Procurement committee reserves the right to modify quantities or reject all offers without explanation.
Bidders must not engage in corrupt, fraudulent, collusive, or coercive practices, including bidding under multiple names. Violations may result in bid rejection and blacklisting.
Selection will be based on quality, cost, credibility, references, reputation, and other factors deemed relevant by the committee.
